AJS Classic Triple Stripes Retro Thigh High Tube Socks, Sock size 11-13, Shoe Size 5 and up

I purchased these based on the responses of other thick-legged women. I'm 5'4" and around 200lbs, I have some thicker legs. I saw other women saying they stayed up all day and such, so I took a risk. My immediate feeling is that they don't really stay up as well as some suggest, since they immediately started rolling down. I'll be wearing them more during the day at home to try and stretch them out, since initially, I could feel my pulse in my leg when I put them on suggesting they were a bit too tight. I'm also considering fashion tape to keep them more up since I plan to wear these in a Fionna cosplay around a con all day, with a lot of walking. Since i'm doing Fionna, I tried folding the sock down over the top stripe (hers only have 2 anyway) and that seems to have reduced slipping a bit, but be prepared for these socks to roll down or slip down past your knees, especially if you're thicker legged. Also, they will go to my knee, or just on top of my knee, but if I try to pull them above the knee they will not stay. For a $12.00 pair of socks, I had hoped they would be a bit more forgiving, since they aren't the decorative socks you usually see with all the embroidery that are impossible for wide calf people, but they're still pretty stiff and difficult after a few hours of wear. Hopefully they'll loosen up to something more comfortable, but in the mean time, I just can't give them more than 3 stars..

These are actually pretty nice. But those of us who are a little on the tall side pay attention to details like length when shopping for socks or pants, among other things.These are advertised as being 33 inches long. You can see from the pics that they're actually less than 29.5 inches. Not even into the 30's.That's more than a 10% difference in the advertised length. If I order and pay for a 10-pack of hotdog buns, and you send me 8 and three-quarters buns then we have a problem.Hey, Mr. Vendor - this kind of thing aggravates those of us for whom length is a primary consideration. This seems to be a common tactic among sock retailers; they advertise their socks as being longer than they actually are. Are you guys all retired used-car salesmen??It is for that reason alone that I won't be ordering from you again, and why I'm leaving the 2-star rating. Like I said, these are actually pretty nice socks. But when you advertise them as being something they're not, and your customer ends not getting what they were expecting, it ends up being a disappointing purchase even if it's an otherwise great product that would have met or even exceeded expectations *if it had been represented truthfully and accurately*!!Nice socks, less-than-honest vendor.

I have tried a lot of thigh high socks and these are some of the best. I am 5’4” and 156lb with thick thighs (between 21-24” around depending on where I’m measuring). The socks are thick, great quality, and come up above the knee not too tightly. If your planning to wear them out you can wear them for a couple nights to bed to get them broken in but it’s not really that necessary. I bright two different colors and was undecided which I’d use for my Ray Finkle costume. I used the orange stripe ones but ended up keeping the teal striped ones too because they’re so good. I don’t think they’d do well with heals but great for a cute sports game outfit or sports costume or even just game day watching football on the couch looking cute for boo with warm feet. :)

These are great. Very soft. I'm 5'8" and average body, and these will come up about halfway up my thigh. They're still good for it even after washing. The only things that keep me from giving these 5 stars is that they are not true "tube" socks (insofar that the seam goes across the top of the feet instead of across the very end), and that the company stupidly printed their company information on the sole of one of the socks. Really, that's just tacky. Other than that if anyone's looking for a good, very tall pair of thigh-high socks these should do the trick.

I'm 5ft 2in, hourglass figure about 135lbs. These were so cute! I ordered these for costumes and just to wear around the house. I have semi thick thighs, and they fit perfectly snug. These are really thick socks. Super warm. I don't have a high heat tolerance I can only wear these with hot shorts or I get way to hot. Not a good idea for day time events in the heat. I'm build like an hourglass so these socks went really high up my leg. When I sat down they were about 3 inches away from the hip.

The socks are very soft and fit a little tight on me (5 ft , 120 lbs) but they dont squeeze my thighs into a muffin top! I have thicker thighs as well for my size. The color of the socks were not truly "hot pink", but more of a fushia/purple color which made me a little sad HOWEVER the seller refunded me and took the time out of their day to apologize for everything (even though its more of the manufacturers fault). I explained to them the color is no where near the picture and although i was disappointed, i still loved the way the socks fit me so i kept them. They still were kind enough to say sorry. 10/10 customer service :)

I am so impressed with these socks! I don't have overly large thighs, but can still never find a pair of over the knee socks that don't slide/roll down, or cut in and make you look like a sausage. These socks are just snug enough to stay up and don't roll down or cut into my legs. They will stay up just above my knees. I can pull them up further, but they do eventually settle lower down after moving & walking around. I am 5'2 and 112lbs. I got the white with red stripes for a Tank Girl Halloween costume (added a picture with my review), but have since worn them a ton and even wore them to bed and they were so comfortable....and stayed up! I plan on getting a few more colors!!
