Great for people with sight issues - severe myopia (among others) in this case.
The old monitor was awfull in terms of picture quality and brightness. The technology advertised by Eizo for this lineup of monitors actually works (I was sceptical at first). Auto brightness sensor is doing amaizing job in reducing eye stress and fatigue. Same for flickering reduction.I'm not using this monitor for gaming nor is it its purpose. With that said - I don't see why wouldn't it be possible. If one is strugling with some sight issues and has to choose between gaming monitor and this one - assuming gaming is not the only purpose - go with this one. It will do well for gaming and watching films etc. It's amazing for office work/studying.

Excellent monitor
Have been looking for a new monitor for sometime and this one was in a magazine A list for a couple of years. Glad I bought it as it was a great improvement on the replacement. Has many connection points, speakers (am not a music person) and 2 USB 3 connectors. Easy on the eyes and with a 5 year warranty. Stronghly recommend any Eizo monitor.

Fantastic
Fantastic screen. Already the second EIZO screen that I get and I am not planning to change brand in the future. Really good size, perfect quality and extremely important to protect your eyes with very good quality screen.

So far I love it
I got this monitor to help with eye fatigue and I must say it is very restful on the eyes compared to my iMac. I keep it set in 'Paper' mode which is close to what you would see on a book reader Kindle (not the tablet kindle) The screen is non reflective so there is hardly any glare. I wouldn't say it is as pin sharp with text as my iMac but it felt like the iMac was 'beaming' light out at you whereas this monitor give a calmer glow. Hard to put into words. Bit hard to angle back and forth (very stiff) - easy to move up and down. The controls aren't explained in any depth - apart from connecting it you have to work out the rest yourself - not too hard though. In 'Eco' mode it can go very very dim if you don't have the lights on so I tend to keep that off and just raise or lower the brightness myself. I also use software called f.lux which cuts out blue light and adds more yellow gradually towards bedtime.

Excellent monitor for connecting a chromebook to
Excellent monitor for connecting a chromebook to ! I use a toshiba chromebook 2 (1080p version)The chromebook goes into docked mode when connected so you can use it with the lid shut (usb mouse and usb keyboard connected to monitor) or with the screen off (with a usb mouse connected to the monitor using the chromebook keyboard) and the chromebook connected to the usb hubHeres a reviewhttp://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/eizo_ev2450.htm

Serious problems with corner glow
+Touch controls are very impressive, they respond immediately and the menus move instantly+Colors were very good right out of the box, a lot better than some high end Benq's+Pretty thin bezels on the top and sides+Apart from the actual panel, it is Made in Japan and AFAIK, the only manufacturer to do this is Eizo-The glow wasn't as bad as it looks in the pictures, but it was substantial-Trying to watch movies on this was painful due to the right lower glow-Games with even slightly darker areas made the corner glows especially annoying-Even though it is Made in Japan, Eizo is still using LG and Samsung's Made in China panels. The EV2450 has an LG IPS -panel: LM238WF2-SSC1, Made in China-The white LED indicator on the front wasn't too bright, in fact it was a bit too dim as it didn't illuminate the indicator area completely so to speak-The stand was nice and sturdy, but I couldn't get the monitor as low as I'd like. I think the lowest point is about 2cm from the table-Cable holder on the back is very flimsy and weak-With 16:9 ratio and 1080p, 23,8" is too smallThe bottom line is, if you're used to 16:10 like me, don't bother with a monitor this size and ratio, get the EV2455 instead (16:10 version) and find one with as little glow as possible.
