Sky Viper v2450HD Streaming Drone with Flight Assist & 2X Improved Flight Range

This is my first drone and it took me couple of tries to learn how control it under Auto mode. I haven't tried yet on manual mode but I'm sure it will be a lot of fun.It has lights on four corners of the drone main body to indicate front/back but it not used for lighting at night. Likewise you won't be able to utilize the camera but has clear views during the day.It's very easy to connect to your phone for you to view what the drone camera is seeing. Be careful to operate in open spaces as the propellers will not work if it's stuck no a tree, under furniture, etc.This would make a great gift to both kids and adults!

This thing is so much fun. The battery does not last very long...maybe 5-10 minutes, so we bought a backup. BUT....it's pretty durable, easy to control and the price was great. Lots of fun. Would recommend for a starter drone.

Do NOT buy these cheaply-made drones! I'm not talking about quality of parts put in it (you get what you pay for), I'm talking about the programming. My son and I went out to test and calibrate this drone. Upon takeoff, it immediately throttled forward without any commands from the Remote PIC. Thinking it was just a fluke, we tried a few more times - same thing. The drone took off and kept flying away without command(s). The instructions, both from the manufacturer and online, tell you to use the F (front), B (back), L (left), R (right) buttons to properly align the drone in the air. NONE of these buttons worked. This drone is light-weight, but even a 2 lbs. drone that flies away can still hurt someone or damage property.I had the item replaced with another of the same, from Amazon. However, the replacement Sky Viper did the exact. Same. THING. Granted, it did throttle forward and to the right the first time. Again, the FBLR buttons did nothing to get this drone under control. I tested it in an empty parking lot, away from people and personal property. After 15 minutes and making six separate take-offs, the Sky Viper refused to obey the calibration commands. I had to pull back on the directional sticks just to get it to avoid flying into a nearby tree. How is one supposed to properly calibrate this thing, safely, when it immediately takes off and you have to avoid people and property?These drones do look great and they would've made a good beginner drone for those starting out on their UAV journey. However, both of my experiences have been less than stellar and more than concerning. I'm not going to lie: I'd be very uneasy to see one of these things flying in the air. They're just too unpredictable and dangerous. Perhaps tenacious customers can look for Sky Viper videos on YouTube, then send comments to the authors to get their advice on fixing the throttling issue. For the average customer, who expects something to work as it's supposed to, don't bother with these. I'll be returning this item and informing the manufacturer of a potential defect.

This is 100% an entry level type of drone. It is a little hard to learn how to fly it and be careful of trees. It will not fly good in the slightest breeze but on a very calm day my daughter does like it. Be sure to get a few extra batteries as does not last long at all.

This drone takes a beating and just keeps going. This is perfect for kids trying to learn how to use one. We got this as a Christmas gift for our thirteen year old. Now let me say he is a good kid but this flying thing has been a struggle for him in the past. He gets the drone, we download the app, and he flies it easily the first time. The drone lifts up, hovers, when he moves it forward is when the trouble starts. Once the drone flies past the parking lot and over a fence rather than turn it around my son drops the remote and chases after the drone. I don’t know what he thought he was going to accomplish but needless to say throwing the remote caused the drone to crash to the ground. So we were able to jump a fence and grab the drone. Both pieces were totally. The next time we take it out he is able to figure out how to hover it low to the ground and to get the cameras working. He crashed it several times into trees, the pavement, and once into a dumpster all of which we have on surprisingly good video. He has flown it multiple times since until a month ago when he crashed it into a tree and the battery went out. It remained stuck in the tree during multiple rainstorms, an icing, and one snowfall. It fell out yesterday and the neighbor down the street brought it back to my son. He promptly charged the drone and at the time of this writing is throwing sticks at a tree and yelling because the drone is once again stuck in a tree. I highly recommend this drone as you can’t break it however I would lock it up when you are not around or else you may come home to an angry thirteen year old lobbing sticks and insults at trees.

I bought this drone for my son for Xmas. He had fun flying it but it broke after several flights. I sent it back to the seller asking for a refund or a replacement. It has been over 30 days since I sent it back and the seller has not responded. So basically, they took my money and my son does not have a drone. I am hoping the seller will read this and contact me. The seller has not responded to any follow up emails that I have sent about this.

This Drone is awesome! It was my first time to try drone and I wanted to find a perfect one. I’ve researched couple of weeks and finally chose this one. It turned out a good decision! It’s easy to handle and I can shoot video or take pictures with the camera that connected to my iPhone. The quality of it is amazing as well. Installing and using the app was pretty easy.It requires little bit of assembling which is very easy and it doesn’t come with batteries. If you want to try out right after you receive this, be prepared having the AA batteries.Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase.

Fun drone to fly. Fairly easy to manuever as well. Beginners could quickly learn to fly too. Like all other lightweight drones it will be difficult to fly in windy conditions. Overall it is a great value for the cost
