I bought a still from Fayelong and it's been great. Youtube instroctions have been ok to get going. Ive used it a lot and found that on the top copper tube, if i fill the pot with water and icecubes then place cubes on the top copper tube, it helps with getting the liquid to return from the steam (you know what i mean if you have one of these.) ive not used a pump, just icecubes and change the water out every 5 minutes. works like a charm. Have had issues with welds and the temp gauge. sent fayelong pictures and an explanation and they sent me new parts with no problems. really helpful seller and really genuine. It's not the best still in the world but you pays your money and gets what you pay for, yanno? Its a great start and playing with it becomes an artform to draw the best from it. Keep it clean, brush the pipes through and if you get a good one youll have no problems.. yes it can be hit and miss on the pots being good, my old pot and replacement's pipework curves differently (well it is handbuilt) and the second pot isnt quite as good as the first but it works. If it doesnt, then as said before a simple email with an explanation and fayelong sort you out. I do genuinely recommend these stills, they're a good start and you have parts there to go forward and create your own.

The only plus from me,This item has in the listing that it WILL work on an induction hob, let me correct that, in that it DOES NOT work on an induction hob!I've had to add some steel plates to use this.It is a functional item, and was surprised for my first run to come out at a measured 60%, the condenser could do with some work, smaller pipe diameter would lead to more coils, and greater output!Not happy, but also not disappointed, hence the number of stars.

Does the job, badly, but does the job

As it was the first time distilling hydrosol water and essential oil, it was easy to use.It would’ve been a little better if instructions were clearer to save some time & was also cleaned before shipping it. However, I think it’s a good tool to use for the price :)
