The Home Valet Company Waxed Floor Duster, Cotton, Blue, 45.5 x 18 x 120 cm

As my heading says, I like the product very much but am even more impressed by the customer services. I live in the Canary Islands and was pleased that this seller would deliver the Floor Duster to us, and for only a low postage and packing charge. I have tiled floors, two cats, and used the duster every single day. It works superbly and means that I don't have to use the vacuum cleaner - something that the cats hate and that (being disabled) I find difficult to use. As a side note - the Duster is very light and so easy for someone who has muscle weaknes to use. After about three and a half months of constant use, the handle snapped at the head, where it is a bit flexible. Hey ho! I thought - I'll need to buy another one. But I contacted the Seller first to ask if they sold replacement handles, telling them what had happened and saying that I didn't think that I had used undue force. The Seller emailed back via Amazon within two or three hours, telling me that they didn't sell handles separately, but would put one (free of charge) in the post that day. That was just before Christmas and it has arrived today. I really DO think that this is superb service!

The product is great. I originally found one of these in Costco and had been hunting for another. They are brilliant at picking up dust, pet hair etc on tiled, wood floors etc. and very easy to use (far better than a hoover in my opinion). Only gave 4 stars not 5 though as on this one the extension pole keeps sliding around, so you lose control of the direction you are pushing in making the task somewhat harder. Re-glued but come undone again. That said i will buy another as mop head does such a great job on hard floors.

Now that I have bamboo floors, this saves hours of time. In about 2 minutes a day, I can go over the lot. Once a week or so, I use a damp mop. My allergies have improved a lot, as it is so much better at picking up and holding onto dust than my old microfibre mop. My husband was trying to be helpful the other day when some leaves had blown in from outside, and he used a broom. I was amazed by how long it takes to sweep a floor with a broom. I don't think I have done that for 40 years. For dusting floors, this mop is faster and better than a broom, a vacuum cleaner or a microfibre dust mop. The handle seems strong enough to me, but I don't put any weight on it. It is good for getting under things, and gets right up to edges, unlike the vacuum.

This waxed floor duster is really easy to use, very versatile and can get in every nook and cranny, especially under sofas and furniture. It is quiet too unlike the vacuum cleaner and no cord to get in the way. It leaves the hard floors with a subtle shine. Cleaning it is relatively straighforward as you just vacuum it off. I really recommend this for a quick and efficient way to clean hard floors. It is even better at collecting the dog hairs than the vacuum. Brilliant. I also have the hand held one which is equally versatile and efficacious.

I’m not much into housework, cleaning floors, etc., but with two dogs at home, the floors can get quite dusty, not to mention hairy, so constant cleaning is a necessity. This waxed duster cuts down on the number of times I have to drag out a Hoover to clean my wooden floors. The long handle is good too because it means I can clean under beds and chairs without having to move them. A quick swish around with my waxed floor duster to pick up all the dust and hair, then out into the garden and with a quick hand rub, the duster is ready to go again. It works well not only on wooden floors but also on bathroom tiles and kitchen lino. To say that I’m impressed is an understatement and I actually enjoy using my duster.

I inadvertently made 2 separate orders for this waxed floor telescopic duster, but I have a back up. I have been using it quite regularly. The wood flooring is very shiny and our home has less dust about. The vac is slowly becoming obsolete. I do have one gripe though and it's so very annoying - the telescopic part will not stay locked. It works for a few minutes then comes undone. As I had bought 2, I decided maybe the first one was faulty, so I have tried the 2nd one and this is exactly the same. My hubby suggested maybe I wasn't locking them properly and he tried both and he had the same trouble. He says he may have to bore a hole, stick a screw in there to keep it locked, but I would have to use it fully extended permanently. I think this way might be better though as it's driving me up the wall with it's not functioning properly. Anyway, 3 stars only as it's a pain in the proverbial. Otherwise I love the fact we have very little dust about - cat hairs easy to deal with too.

6 months after purchase my black towels are still shedding fluff onto my white bathroom flooring. This duster is great for picking it up and I can whoosh it over the floor in seconds. My only issue was that it arrived without any labelling or instructions (I did wonder if it was a returned item). It wasn't difficult to work out how to assemble it but I'm unsure how to clean and maintain it.

Great mop that picks up all the dirt and dust withought scratching my newly sanded wooden floors. Easy to us and easy to store by shortening the handle. Also very easy to wash when it becomes grimy and it comes out looking like new
