This is a really great product. I've used it on rigid plastic trim parts both externally and inside the car and it deals with both. I am not sure what sort of deterioration you wish to treat but the only type I've tried to treat is the whitish looking almost powdery appearance that plastic parts develop after prolonged exposure to sunlight / UV. I used it on an old Ford Fiesta about two or three years ago around door handles, plastic trim on the outside of doors and various bumber strips that looked awful....almost white in colour in places.....and they came up looking like new and have remained that way until now **Q: Whats similar to C4** A: Sorry I do not know any product similar to C4 but the C4 worked very well on the trim of my L reg Renault Cleo **Q: Can you use this on car emblems** A: I would be wary.On plastic trims its superb,but as it marketed as a trim restorer,im sure there would be better products out there for the purpose you're asking.Unless of course your emblem is plastic based. **Q: Can you use this on vinyl convertible roofs ?** A: You could but it would be very expensive as the coverage on a roof may require two-three bottles. Other than that buy a car with painted trim. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best I have tied *by D***G on 20 May 2016* Firstly this product is different from the more basic trim cleaners/silicone restorers you find in your local Halford or Auto parts store. The cheaper and more basic silicone cleaner/restorers such as Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant Plastic Restorer, do make the trim look shiny but the effect only lasts till the next wash or a couple of weeks tops in sunny or rainy weather. Whilst the Gtechniq C4 is very expensive it claims to last up to two years but even if it give 18 months until I need to reapply then it is worth it. After seeing vehicle details recommending it on You Tube I had tried a product called Solution finish, which is more like a dye and a little I spilled stained the brick in our driveway black. But application of Solution finish lasted less than six months. The Gtechniq C4 liquid is clear and application is easy, Gtechniq even supply the application pads. For both the C4 and Solution finish treatments prior to application I cleaned the trim with rubbing alcohol and allowed good time for it to dry. At first I was not really sure if I had just wasted my money as it did not seem to be making much difference but after ten/fifteen minutes it was easy to see the Gtechniq C4 had made a real difference to the look of the vehicle's trim, which improved further when I buffed off the residue.. Now a month after applying the C4 and even though the vehicle has had a hand wash and also been put through a car wash the trim still looks as fresh as it did directly after the I applied the C4.
