Topeak DeFender XC1/XC11 Fender Set

Mudguards are easy to fit and look great. The only downside however is the rear mudguards clip. Upon trying to fasten it on the clip snapped which reading a few reviews online seems to be a general weak spot for it. Part replaced within a couple of days from the seller.

Haven’t christened them out side yet but they look the business and feel strong, very easy to fit and a absolute bargain for the price 👌🏻I’ve just read a review that said they are hard to fit lol that’s not the case unless you’re lacking, they are very simple to fit honestly 5-10 minutes putting together and adjusting until they both sit square in the middle then tighten up.

Purchased these fenders for my eletric giant mtb bike , really easy to fit and well made , but wow' they really do stand out and make the bike look good, I used to get stopped and people like my bike , but now they ask were to buy these Mudguards, really pleased with this purchase

Well, I bought these as options for a 29er are a bit limited, and as I ride this bike on the commute as well as the trails I need to stay dry.Plus, I thought these looked a bit swanky.HOWEVER. When they arrived (which took a fair bit longer than I normally get from amazon) they looked crap.They were a total pain to fit, getting them to sit level on both sides while to tighten them up is overly tricky and could be much more easily designed.Eventually I got them all fitted up and stepped back to admire my work. All well and good.I leave the bike overnight, planning to go out for a long ride the next day. Yet when I come back to the bike in the morning I find a small piece of plastic on the floor that wasn't there the night before... it looks strikingly similar to the plastic used in these guards (ie cheap)So I give them a quick check over to be sure I didn't drop a piece when fitting them or something silly. Nope, I didn't. What had happened is that at some point during the night - the bike was not touched at all I would like to add - the feeble plastic clip that holds the front guard on to the stanchion had snapped. It had completely shattered.This happened without the bike even moving.I dread to think how long the clips would have held up on a rough trail... And cringe at the thought of both going and dragging the thing into the front wheel.I bought a set of SKS Shockblade II's from Evans Cycles - cheaper than on here and faster delivery too. Cheaper than the Topeak rubbish too by about £121000000 times nicer quality and I had them fitted in literally 2 minutes.So if you want 29er mud guards, get those. These are a massive waste of money.

I have had these all winter and they have kept me very dry on my daily cycle to work, a little over the top maybe as a commuting mud guard on my hybrid bike but they do work very well. I have not had any issues with the gap in between the front guard that some have mentioned throws dirt up through the gap, I have not found it to be a problem at all.

I have a Pro Rider Colt electric bike. I was hoping it would fit my bike as its a bit larger then most. It fits perfect and looks even better. Now I don't need to religiously avoid the smallest of puddles from fear of damaging my batter or other electronics. So far after few weeks of use, no damage or problems with them at all.
