Goldilocks and the Three Bears: Ladybird Touch and Feel Fairy Tales (Ladybird Tales) Board book – Touch & Feel, 28 Jan. 2010

I bought this board book for my 9 month old baby as she enjoys being read to and likes texture books. It was nice to find a series of books which have both textures and a proper story line.There is a good selection of textures in this book; cotton curtains, furry porridge, ribbed chair seat, lacy bedspread and squashy shiny door.The amount of text on each page gives enough time to read this before my child becomes bored of feeling the texture and seems good for the short attention spans of beginner story listeners. When she is older I will likely elaborate the story and verbally add in the three repeated phrases on each page while reading.This book isn't the most detailed version of the classic story but it is an ideal introduction for small children which is exactly what it claims to be.

These books are much loved by my 8 month old son. He loves the touch and feel sections and knows where they are on each page. Since they are board books I feel confident letting my son play with them without worrying that he will rip the pages. The story is good too because it's not long and the repetitive language is ideal for a young baby.

Ideal for one year old to engage them in reading. Able to touch and feel as you are reading to them. Makes a lovely present.

My 5 month old loves this book as its textured and she can feel the different items with her fingertips.I didn’t give it 5 star as it isn’t doesnt repeat the pharses as the traditional story does.In which case, i do not read the words off the book but rather make them up according to the traditional version every time I read it to my LO.

My 2 year old granddaughter simply loves touch & feel books , she interacts with the story & wants to look at them over & over again. Her favourite page is the one with the fluffy bowl of porridge. Lots of fun but learning at the same time. I would recommend any of these books. Good quality too.

Really lovely book. I bought it for my 20 month old son. I love how this book tells the story in a simple way but also helps children to learn to count to 3. The touchy/feely bits are great and the book is excellent quality. I also bought the little Red riding hood which is also lovely but I think the Goldilocks book is better :)

I love the range of these books. They are really well made, the stories are quick to read but long enough to satisfy my toddler. My baby also loves to feel the "touch" bits of the book. After buying one of them in the range, I then bought all of them as they are so good.

Nice version of the three bears for two year old. 👍
