WIl Use In Small Amounts
I am a super cautious person. I research everything. I am a diabetic. I checked on whether I can use this product. What I found was that it is OK in moderation but do not eat a lot of it. I wanted to find out much in more detail, and found that a diabetic can be allowed 20-40 grams a day, which be the same eating three to six bananas a day. Because I have a strong potassium deficiency, I do eat one whole banana day. I would never eat three bananas a day. With that in mind, I plan to use it when following a recipe. I looked up what 1/4 cup of sugar would be in grams, that turned out to be 30 grams. Now I have a guideline! A tablespoon or even 1/4 a cup might be OK but I would never subsitute for a full cup, I am going write this information in ink right on the package.

It's good sugar, but potentially misleading
It's good tasting sugar. It says it's fructose powder, but they are rather large/coarse granules of sugar- not powdered sugar. The main thing I take issue with is it is labelled as "Keto Sugar Substitute" which it is clearly not. It is fructose, which is found naturally in many plants. This is not 0 carb and it is not low calorie. Fructose is also not shown to be any healthier than glucose or sucrose. When I looked at the nutrition label, it seemed to be labelled correctly. The calorie amount in a serving is 400 and the description says that it is sweeter than sucrose and found naturally in many fruits. However, the description also says that this will have a low impact on blood glucose levels and does not require insulin. I doubt that this is true and is potentially dangerous to anyone with diabetes. Fructose is nothing like aspartame or other artificial sugars, it will have about the same impact on your body as regular table sugar does.I would not recommend using this as a "healthy" sugar substitute. It is just fructose, mostly the same as other sugars you can find. It is also definitely not keto-friendly.With all that said, it seems like good fructose. May be useful if you want to do some food experiments with pure fructose instead of glucose or sucrose, and overall it does taste good.

Good taste, good texture/crunch but not a lot sweater than table sugar
Review of: Onuva's Fructose Powder - Keto Sugar/Pure Cane Sugar Substitute - Sugar AlternativeIām always looking for a good sugar substitute and the Onuva's Fructose Powder is a good option as it is all natural with no chemical additives. For a taste test, I did a spoon-to-spoon comparison with regular table sugar, and, to my taste buds and the taste buds of another family member, we couldnāt really tell any significant difference in sweetness levels. The package does state that the product is 1.2 to 1.8 times sweeter than regular table sugar and while I felt the fructose powder might be slightly sweeter there was no āwowā factor that made the Onuvaās stand out in that category. Then, I tried the Onuvaās Fructose Powder in some hot tea and the product worked really well. The granules dissolved easily in the hot water and I used about the same amount of product (as compared to table sugar) that I would normally add.And I found that that the Onuva's Fructose Powder has slightly bigger crystals than regular table sugar has so the Onuvaās had a little bit more of a crunch to it; which I like.Next, Iām looking forward to baking with the Fructose Powder as Iām certain that is going to work out just fine as well. The price is a concern for me as I think the fructose powder is on-the-high-side but still, I consider the powder to be a good product, and one I can recommend.

Not a Keto Sugar Substitute, May Be More Useful as a Diabetic/Calorie Reduction Sweetener
I ordered this on the fly when I saw the title stating āketo sugar substituteā. I should have took a little more time to read the whole title, which clearly states that it is fructose. Anyway, the consistency is more like granulated than powder. There are no clumps noted when opening package. The fructose is delightfully sweet with no aftertaste. The price is in line with other vendors. Iām looking forward to experimenting with it a bit in some recipes when I am in an off-keto cycle. This sweetener may be more useful as a lower calorie or diabetic sweetener, although the health/research folks seem to have a lot of mixed opinions on it.

What's the point?
My husband likes to make sweets for our keto and diabetic friends so I ordered this based on the title of "Keto Sugar Substitute". Turns out, people on Keto cannot have this type of sweetener and it's not any better for diabetics than regular sugar. It also has essentially the same amount of calories as sugar, so I'm not sure what the point of purchasing this substitute would be. I've used it in a couple of recipes and was able to use a little less of this than I would have used in sugar but not so much less that it really makes any difference in calories. It is sweet and I couldn't tell it apart from sugar in taste when used in baking but at the current price, I can't recommend this over just using plain old sugar.
