About a third of the weight of a leather weight lifting belt, so far stiff and supportive enough!
Almost ordered black, GLAD I ordered green (It is a very nice green, not quite as bright as I viewed in display pics).Almost ordered leather, GRATEFUL I found this option!I used to repetitively squat 450lbs in high school for workouts, using the trusted leather belts. I don't have such capacities anymore, I'm one of those DIY ers that still feels capable of lifting almost anything on a project, who has a family of physical therapists that warn me of all the guys coming in for recovery and rehabilitation for "lifting something the same way they've done thousands of times" and something didn't hold up like it used to!So NOW that I have the number of many manly men reading this---THAT's why I decided I needed one of these. It now hangs in my workspace for an easy grab and strap (SUPER EASY with the velcro slap!!) for whenever I'm about to toss a refrigerator onto a trailer, throw a hundred-square of roofing atop a home, or relocate a full chest freezer to make room for a new toolbox....AND I can now grab it easily to assist in a workout whenever I may do so.VERY COMFORTABLE, lightweight, and looks great too. My kids might even wanna wear it during some superhero adventures.I ordered "LARGE" and have an average of a 34" waist. Its strap only 'grabs' a couple of inches of velcro--substantial enough, but perhaps an XL would've been more accurate? I feel this is fine, but with all that's available on its span of hook and loop, I think it seems slightly understated in size. The 'tab' on the band for removal will likely be its downfall after hundreds of ons-and-offs, since it has 'play' with 3 of its edges sewn to the belt, and the fourth exposed edge lifts/separates from the belt....that 'play' will likely over stress the seams and eventually break them....but the belt will still function, just slightly harder to remove by the fabric instead of existing tab. (Sorry, it's hard to explain until you hold in person)If this review helped ya, kindly give me a thumbs up so I know if they're worthwhile.Enjoy! :)...To aid being concise, if reading any of my reviews henceforth, you can know these things UNLESS I state otherwise: It was made in CHINA, and stars are awarded as follows:~1st Star: Arrived Timely and Undamaged~2nd Star: Unpacked, Item was As Described and Complete with all Expected Contents~3rd Star: Performs and Does as it should~4th Star: EXCEEDS Expectation/Surpasses (personally-known) Competition~5th Star: I would RECOMMEND to my family and best of friends any and every time, without hesitation.

Very easy to put on
This belt has a decent range of size adjustment using the velcro strap. No buckles to fuss with. The back support piece is plastic and is designed to flex around you but not flex vertically.I hurt my back dealing with all this snow. This belt help minimize my pain.

Awesome weight belt
Runs a bit small so get the next size up from what you’d wear. Super sturdy and excellent quality. It feels rigid on the body but that’s what I like about it. Would recommend!

For the Spouse
He's the heavy lifter, with a bad back, and states "it helps and is pretty comfortable. So I say 4 stars."I think the color is the only thing he doesn't love about it, so take it with a grain of salt.

Heavy Duty and Great Support
This belt is heavy duty with great support. For such a sturdy design, it’s surprisingly light weight. As for fit, I’m a skinny guy and it fits me decently. There was some slack around my lumbar area. (Again, I’m a skinny fellow.) Still, at the end of the eccentric phase of my squat, the belt provides me great stability. This is my first exercise belt, but I’ve used the ones the gyms provide. I can say this belt is comparatively of a greater quality and provides better support, though not as comfortable. But again, I’m thin.I recommend it.

Solid low cost option
I found this belt to work well for stabilizing my lower back and core when doing squats and other lifts but I still try and mix belt and no belt workouts where I can. Knowing how to brace everything without a belt is still important but I'm sure this will let me push a bit farther as I ramp up the weights. I'm still getting used to the slightly lower range of motion it allows when doing a deep squat but that is a given for any belt.

Make sure you get the right size
This is just a bit on the small side. I should have opted for one size larger, but that's certainly not the product's fault. I only reduced the stars by one because there was nowhere on the page to give me an idea of sizing.Hey...maybe the smaller size will get me working out more often so it fits better? The quality of the item itself is good. I retired from a back injury, so I need the lower back support and this lifting belt delivers. I feel more stable and less likely to injury myself as I take the care and time my body needs to both continue healing and get stronger.Overall, I like the product and would recommend it.
