Hello, how wide is the black plastic piece on the back that holds the battery? I want to use a stand with it so need to know how wide that is. Thx

Piece on back is 4&5/8 inch diameter, almost 3/4 inch deep.

How to use this product?

It's a real clock. It's battery operated. It's very quiet. I don't hear any ticking noise. Which is great. It also keeps accurate time. You put the battery in and hand wind the clock hands clockwise with your finger to set the time. It's light weight and I hung it up with just a nail. There's a place on the back of the clock for that purpose. I hung it over a beach picture in my dressing area with some of the same colors in it. I love it.

Can I put this outside?

Mine’s outside but under cover. Looks great outdoors

Is it just a stocker face or is it actually wood painted the colors shown?

It is one solid piece and not individual boards. It doesn’t feel like plastic, but it doesn’t feel like wood. I love mine though. It looks just like the picture.
