Excellent product
Easy to assemble and sturdy. The shelves are very spacious so can fit a lot of stuff in your storage. The shelves are interchangable so gives you lots of room to assemble it according to your needs. The shelves are light weight so I was skeptical if it can hold the weight it promises. But I am very happy with it, as it holds so much weight. Even though it is light weight, once assemble properly it is not wobbbly at all. We have stored so much stuff on the shelf and it has been holding very well. I have one in the garage and there was water damage, the shelves got wet and mouldy but they are still intact which surprised us. We put them in the sun to dry it and cleaned them, they are still working great.

Good value for money; excellent service
For the money, this was a good product. The metalwork was properly deburred and the paint finish good (although it is probably impossible to avoid some scratching during assembly!) After service was excellent: shelves had got damaged and replacements were delivered the next day. All racks are basically space frame structures so are only really stable once they are all together. To minimise cost the metal members are comparatively thin and so can flex rather alarmingly, especially before the first horizontal layer is complete, but nothing broke or snapped off. Some suggestions based upon my personal experience: Although the vertical members are symmetric with respect to the fittings into which the shelf supports slot this is not true for the circular holes so if you want to bolt racks together or against a batten on the wall – or just use them as references to make sure the shelves are put in at the same height on all four corners - make sure they are all round the same way Build the unit as close as possible to its final destination and if you have to lift it do so as little as possible via the lower vertical members or it will come apart. Use a screwdriver to open up the holes before fitting the shelf supports in and to help guide the lugs into place on assembly. The foot pads don’t really attach so best put on bottom after lower half of rack is complete and before starting on the top half. The circular holes are just less than 6mm in diameter so 5mm screws work well to bolt racks together or fix to wall. For the latter I bolted the shelving using a metal washer behind the screw head to distribute the load and a couple of ¾-inch rubber tap washers to space the frames just off the brick wall. These washers come with a conveniently sized hole; if you are lucky they will grip the screws and not try to fall off! My compliments to anyone who can get a rack together on their own in less than an hour or two.

A struggle to assemble but good value, & adequate for the job
It’s possible to assemble these on your own (I did) but almost certainly easier if you have two people on the job, as four hands for some parts of the assembly would be better than two. I bought them to rack-out my garage workshop and organise things better, so now can easily find everything. The 600mm version offers considerably more storage space, so I would recommend that’s what you buy if you have the space to accommodate them: the smaller size takes the same amount of assembly time and work, but you end up with less shelf space. The frames are bolted together with short fat bolts, each with a corresponding washer and nut, so all you’ll need is the correct sized spanner and a thick crosshead screwdriver. Each leg of the frame has a push-on plastic foot with the same right-angle shape of the upright. These units are OK for a domestic garage or garden shed but not really suitable for a warehouse, where they may see heavier use. The frame comes with a push-in central supporting strut for the increased rigidity of each shelf bay, and this guarantees the shelves – which are MDF, and only just thick and strong enough for the job – will not bow in the middle. The frames, prior to the insertion of these support struts and the MDF shelves, bend and flex alarmingly but when the whole thing is assembled the result is quite rigid. You may assemble them such that the shelves may be at differing height and spacing, but changing this when the shelves are already in use, while possible, can take a while and some faffing about. Don’t underestimate the time it may take you to assemble everything. I bought nine bays of shelves, and assembly basically took all day, but if there were two of you on the job, it might be a lot quicker. For what they are, they are good value and will last well. I don’t know how the MDF shelving might stand up to a damp environment, because my garage is dry so that’s unlikely to be an issue.

Excellent Value, easy to assemble and bags of space.
The shelves arrived quicker than expected, full tracking details were given, well packaged and as expected. The shelves require no tools to assemble except a flat headed screwdriver. The units assemble very quickly and without the expected frustration that normally accompanies flat packs. Quality is very good for the price. I have used these in a large steel shed and they are very solid. I have found the more weight put on shelves the more stable they become but I would recommend anchoring the shelves to the wall, once this is done they are very solid indeed. The shelves fit large plastic containers perfectly, ideal for keeping items sorted and clean in a shed. Recommended for quality, ease of assembly and storage space provided. I bought from TUFFERMAN and had to contact them due to a courier issue (due to my rural location). Tufferman had the problem sorted within minutes and really provided excellent service.

I have repeated my order immediately. Excellent product. Looks good. Easy assembly and very strong.
Impressed with packing - very well designed and easily handled. Instructions could be a bit better to get started with first unit. Thereafter about 20 minutes per unit. Extremely pleased with finished item and have repeated order for additional pack of 3. Due to arrive today. Versatility is good to build to suit items to be stored. e.g. half height unit for benches or work surfaces or multi-height shelves per unit. One warning to future buyers - the 90L heavy duty boxes advertised only fit 1 wide per shelf. A combination of 1 x 90L + smaller box alongside fits ok. However would suggest advertising 2 x 40L or 2 x 60L would be a neater fit. 90L boxes only stack 3 shelves high but smaller boxes provide 4 even height shelves and are more manageable from the higher shelves. I already had 90L boxes so have adapted accordingly with 3 full height shelves and a narrower one at the top.

Solid storage solution
Once you get use to how to assemble its easy. A bit flimsy when first couple put together but firms up to solid when when fully assembled. There is a knack to assemble...lugs are different sizes....align first one in and then use screwdriver to push second into lug and then lock both into place. Took a while to figure this out but once found, the other two units were a doddle. Don't forget to install the cross member shelf support !! Very sturdy once finished and all equipment/power tools now off my shed floor and safely stored !! Will order extra units in the spring for new shed.

Good product when pieces aren't bent out of place
I bought these units to go in my garage to try and tidy it up and make better use of the space. These are tall and sturdy in a garage that isn't flat. They are easy to assemble, i did these but myself with no issue. Lining up the horizontal bars to get into the slots can sometimes be a bit of a challenge, but nothing too taxing. If you are going to move these once you have assembled them full height, make sure you grab the bottom half otherwise they can come out of the slots. What stopped me giving this a 5 star was 2 of the packs had clearly been opened and used (more likely someone tried to assemble and couldn't). These are going in the garage so i don't mind too much, as long as i can still assemble the unit. Unfortunately some of the items in one of the boxes were bent so much that there was no way i was going to be able to get them back into place to make it useable. I emailed customer service and i have to say they were excellent. They organised a day that was suitable to me to have a new one delivered and the faulty one taken away, which was the next day of contacting them. Although the replacement was also slightly damaged, i managed to put it back into its original form to be able to build the unit. In short, i would recommend them and happy with the purchase and what it has done for my garage.

Ideal for domestic garage and shed.I brought a second set
This is the second set of these 3 packs I have now purchased, one set has gone in my garage and the second in my "man cave" in the garden. As I brought a second set you'll not be surprised to hear I am quite pleased with them. I particularly wanted the extra depth offerred by the 600mm version which gives so much extra storage space, turning a rather cluttered space (particularly the man cave) into a reasonably neat and tidy area. When the first set of 3 was assemble, I had help, the second set I did on my own, so it is possible to put together on your own, but it is significantly easier with two, particularly at the initial stages of assembly, when everything appears very flimsy, so much so that I had serious doubts that the framework, let alone the actual shelves would be up to the job. Fortunately when you persevere and get the framework done, shelves inserted and bolted to the wall it is quite firm and solid, and more than capable of support a fair bit of weight. That being said, the frames are reletively soft metal and can very easily get bent out of shape, but on the plus side, if they are easily bent out of shape, its just as easy to bend them back in. The point is, these are not suitable for heavy duty warehouse use, but for standard indoor domestic work it copes very well, and takes a decent weight without issues as the large shelves do have a central support for stability and weight distribution.Shelf heights are viaiable as required, and by the time I got to the last of the six bays I've put together I was pretty good at it, and could "knock one out" in 15 minutes although this would have been less with two people. The first few however took considerably longer, not because the assembly process is complicated, but because I thought everything would simply slot in without issue but it does not. Invariable you need to widen slots and guide the tabs on the shelf struts into the slots on the uprights. This becomes a bit of a balancing act when you're trying to put the bays together on your own, but if you bend the tabs slightly inwards and widen the slots on the uprights before assembly it goes together much more easily. A quick tap into place with a rubber mallet and all is secure. Word of warning however, if you assemble a full bay and then try to move it by picking it up holding onto the uprights above waist level, the top half will immediately come apart as the upright join doesnt lock the two halves together and on our early attempts our assembly work was ruined before we realised this. The supplied mdf shelving looked thin, but has been up to the job, and seems quite strong once everything is bolted together. If you use these shelves for their intended domestic purpose and don't want to load them up with very heavy item, or use then as a climbing frame they very good, hence I brought a second set a few months after the first. Good customer service from the supplier as well, who amended delivery date and destination even after I got an email from Amazon saying the the date and time was set and could no longer be changed.
