it is easy to assemble....
Good looking model...doesn't need glue as it just snaps together...but....you do need experience and a lot of patience to adhere all the decals...the end result though is well worth taking your time...I varnished this model with satin varnish which does hide the decal joins nicely...very pleased...did exactly what I expect from a model which is to distract the mind from all the every day stress...just a side note if you are looking to buy, I found it much easier to adhere all the decals to each sub assembly before putting it all together, you don't have to varnish it but it does seal it all and will protect the decals from dusting etc.....buy it, patience not included in the box, enjoy....

Great model kit.
It’s the third time I have purchased this kit. Great model. The decals must be handled with care, take your time with them and they will be fine.

It’s about the picture on the box
So apparently this is a good model, however the picture on the box is not accurate. The title says NCC 1701 A, the picture is for NCC 1701 (what I received).I had to endure the wrath of a nerd, luckily this can be solved with some orange coloring.

A Beautiful Kit of a Beautiful Ship
A beautiful 1:1000 scale ship here, looks amazing when build and decals are applied.Snap fit but as always glue is needed on a few seams. The warp nacelle pylons are usually a problem on this ship but the folks who designed them here took the added care to strengthen these pylons by taking them further into the secondary hull making them far better than say the old 1:537 AMT.Wallpaper decals cover the whole ship adding Aztec detail and ships markings and the whole thing is finished off with a very nice dome style base connecting the ship via a metal rod.

transfers do not work
like most trek fans I had always wanted a collection of my favorite versions of the enterprise. I bought this enterprise refit model recently and have had enormous trouble with the transfers provided. the problem is that the transfers do not stick and the model is too small to attampt to paint any level of detail by hand. to put it simply, this model is reliant on the transfers provided to gain any acceptable result and the transfers do not work.I also have the enterprise B by the same manufacturer, the stickers provided with this dissolved during application and were too weak to handle or position on the model.I have noticed that the instructions for applying the transfers have changed which points to a problem with them.USS Enterprise NCC-1701 Refit Plastic Model Kit from Star Trek (1:1000 scale)My verdict. do not buy!!

Excellent
Great model of the refit Enterprise from the films. Really pleased with it. Also includes "aztec" decals to create an authentic finish.

this is not an easy build if you want to produce to quality finish
simple to build, but complex to decal, this is not an easy build if you want to produce to quality finish, and if you are going to build her, then it is worth watching a few you tube build vids to avoid making a disaster when decaling. That said its a lot of fun and well worth the £20 odd it costs.
