I am going to keep these bowls as I like everything about them except that the background color is much darker than the image on the website. Very disappointed in that respect and I am finding more frequently that the quality and representation of products on Amazon are misleading.

Perfect size for donburi or ramen. Well made and arrived ingreat condition. Would buy again.

I’m absolutely thrilled with these – the product images really don’t do them justice! They are without doubt the nicest bowls I own and that’s a big complement coming from me as I’m unreasonably particular and own quite a few pasta bowls by Denby.These ramen bowls are nicely weighted and significantly heavier than expected – this is a huge pro for me as I’m not a fan of thin or lightweight porcelain. The glaze creates a traditional, rustic feel and the aesthetic is perfect for ramen, noodle soups or stir fries. The bowls also have a very pleasing shape with a nice open top and a subtle ribbed texture to the porcelain.Although these are smaller than my other ramen bowls, I actually prefer the size of these and don’t find them insufficiently large for a decent portion. Though, I’m quite a small human.
