4 year old loves it!
A silly storybook about poo….obviously our four year old boy absolutely loves this book! My wife (a biology teacher) loves it - myself - I think it’s ok!! We bought this after our son started to talk about poo after coming home from nursery one day, it transpires they were reading this book at nursery and all the kids loved it! I’m going to be honest and say we are a family of Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffler lovers, so our bed time reading quality is quite high! Funny enough story, although I feel sorry for Mr Hector Gloop - he got hoodwinked into thinking the poop was from outer space! The rhyming patterns can be a bit odd here and there, it exactly having a smooth cadence as you would expect from other children books (Julia Donaldson has spoilt me!!), but obviously they is coming from an adults point of view. Asking my four year old to review this, he really enjoys this book, finds it hilarious (I mean what four year old kid doesn’t find poo funny!), likes that there’s a Robot pooper scooper and enjoys looking through the images in the poo museum to see all the different types of animal doo-doo. He likes it so much this evening we had to read this book twice and the follow up once as well! Sorry to litter this review with the word Poo so many times, I don’t think I’ve ever written the word poo so many times in 5 minutes, although if you read the book - you’ll say it ALOT more than you’ve read here - I mean ALOT!!!! Enjoyable fun silly book for a child’s bedtime!

My son LOVES this book!
A must have for young children! This is a fun little story with all the animal pictures a toddler could want, with the huge added bonus of a cheeky plotline. My son wants to read this all the time, and has taken it into nursery to show off, too. the drawings are lovely - immersive without being overwhelming, and the story is easy to follow for toddlers, but not so simple that the adult reading it feels like a zombie after the 50th read. Most kids love animals. most kids love poo, so most kids would love this book!

I’m buying the set of books by this author..love his work.
Fabulous!! My grandson who is 6 and autistic loved this book. It arrived just before tea time and I showed it to him and asked if we could have this as our bedtime story. He was ok with this. But once we started the story he laughed and laughed. I had to read it to him three times before he would settle down for the night. It was a joy to see him trying to read the words. It fired his imagination and because he thinks it’s a bit naughty to talk about poo he wants to read it himself. I would encourage anyone who is trying to teach their little ones to read to get this book. The illustrations are lovely and detailed with words about poo. 🤣

Really fun read!
My son loves this book so we purchased this for a friend’s birthday. Really funny little story that focuses on the different sorts of poos and how amazing poo can be. Makes my son laugh and being 5 everything is about poo at the moment!

Great way to change the mood
Fantastically written book. The story has my child reading along due to its silly nature and great use of words. The illustrations are well done as well.I find myself pulling this story out when I need to get him out of a funk. It's hard not to giggle when you are reading about Poo... in the Zoo!
