****DO NOT BUY***** failure prone
do not buy this heating element, as they're absolute junk and have a very high failure rate. I initially installed this element on December 26, 2024 and by the end of February it had failed. Upon removing the element for inspection, I had found that 2 of the element leads had gotten hot and melted off the wiring connector. I repaired this element since the OEM LG one I had ordered was on back order. After repairing the element, it worked for roughly another month, and then it failed again. Upon swapping it out for the OEM one which I had now received, it appears that the element had failed for a second time with the same problem. Long story short, save your money and spend the $200 on an OEM element.

Works well. Make sure this part number is what you're looking for.As with most things like this, the heating element will give off a smell for the first time you use it. It goes away after the first one or two times you use it. Ventilate the room well while the smell burns off.EDIT: Burned out literally an hour after I wrote this review..... Go figure.
