I think this is more than just a toy for kids - a good leaning tool to play music for all ages
Is this really only designed for kids? Well I got it for myself - a big kid perhaps, having seen how good the reviews are and I am not disappointed.I previously had a much cheaper mini keyboard for practice and the sound quality was so dire I think I was starting to get fed up with listening to it. But this Casio is so much better. The big bonus being great sound quality which can be heard particularly if you plug in some high-end headphones or hi-fi amplifier. The internal Casio speakers don't sound too bad either. The keys are pleasant to use too - no issues there. There is an LCD which shows you which key you have pressed by displaying the note on five lines just like a music sheet. I find this paritcularly useful for learning. The viewing angle of the LCD is good so I don't have to lean over it to see it.I have looked a the battery life and that's good too. It draws around 30mA doing nothing and about 100mA when sound is present on the speakers, although this current will depend on the actual volume set. Using it on headphones the current seems to stay around 30mA regardless of whether any keys are pressed.I am using this as a beginner to learn to practice piano. I am finding it very useful to learn to find the right keys. The best bit is the size. It is such that I can take it anywhere to practice without the need to sit in front of a full size piano for hours. It's really quite hard to find fault with this keyboard for the money it cost. The only thing I can think would be nice is to have a record function. Thank you Casio for such a great product and thank you Amazon for getting it to my door so quickly as you always do.

Nice little Keyboard, More than a Toy!
Bought this for my 2year old over SA46 as the price difference at the time was just six pounds.Solid construction, my little one was standing on it and tossing it here & there and still no damage done! Does not come with power adapter but I am happy using rechargeable batteries as it is safer. Pink colour matches with the rest of the toys & furniture in the play room. Keys are mini size, comfortable and all can be reached easily.Comes with 100 tones, 50 rhythms, 5drum pads including few indian instruments, rain drop, train sound.. There are 10 tunes in the song-bank, the twinkle twinkle is my daughter's favorite. All can be played using the number pads on the right side. Sound quality is as good as the higher model Ctk-1150 and much better than SA-46.Headphone jack on the rear side, 3.5mm standard socket. Another difference between this and SA46 is the availability of LCD display. The keyboard comes with a simple printed song book as well and free access to up to 10 lessons online.Overall this is a nice little keyboard not just a toy.

Great keyboard for kids
This keyboard has provided hours of fun for my daughter. It’s a great size and easy to carry around. There are a few songs on there and lots of different tones to choose from. Would recommend!

Great little keyboard to play with, or as a first keyboard
I love the smaller keys (not suitable for chunky fingers), arthritis has restricted my stretching ability for full size keys, and this keyboard has meant I have been able to carry on playing. It would be a great starter instrument for someone who wanted to start keyboard or piano. I had the Casio SA46 to start with, but you quickly run out of notes if you want to play with both hands, even for basic music, this keyboard has more tone too, although is obviously limited by it's size. You can play multiple notes at once, which you can't with some of the other small key keyboards, the notes don't carry for the full beat depending on the note, but for the money is a great keyboard. I have had the same Durcell batteries in for the last 5 months playing most days, so it's not heavy on batteries, I like the freedom of not having a cord, although you can buy one separately if needed.

Great little keyboard
Bought for 8 year old grandson as a present. He has not used, but I am very impressed with sound quality for the money and all the extra accompaniments. Did purchase extra the lead, starter book and headphones. All of which I feel are essential.

Probably great if you get all the bits they say you will
Excellent build quality. Nice sound and tone. Isn’t supplied with a power cable which is a bit pathetic on Casio’s part. The one I purchased didn’t come with the instructions or music book that are advertised. The customer services options for this product have been tailored to prevent you from contacting Amazon or the original retailer. Haven’t been able to resolve this unfortunatelyEdit** thanks to sibling rivalry we now have two of these. Again, the second one doesn’t come with the advertised song book. The advert for the orange one we purchased shows it coming with a power cable but of course you don’t get it. These advertisers should be ashamed of themselves. Yet again, there is no option for me to complain

Disappointed
I got this for my 9/10 year to practise on. Everything is good about the keyboard except the sound is very weak. It has that tinny treble sound with no richness on the piano setting. To overcome this I choose synth sounds. It is cheap and does the job, but the sound quality lets it down. I have a vintage tiny Casio SA-8 I use to practice singing notes and working out songs. The piano sound is awesome for such a tiny retro keyboard. Sadly the SA-76Hs is not as good; flashing lights etc does not fill the gap.
