A really good little keyboard!
This keyboard has a great, solid keyboard feel. I have average-sized male hands and while it feels a little tight when typing a long document, it is still comfortable. I love all the keyboard shortcuts included! There are a few keys that must do triple duty (shift, normal or control key combos) but I found a way around many of them: settings>genera>keyboard>text replacement let me eliminate most of the times I need to use apostrophes, for example, and I also came up with a question mark workaround that way. The hyphen and quotation marks still need to use the control key, but didn't take me long to learn to do that more or less automatically. This is literally the only thing I can criticize about the keyboard. I've had a lot of iPad keyboards over the years and this one is the best one I've used (besides the Magic Keyboard on a Pro). I also love the fact that this can be used in either landscape or portrait mode (!) The magnets when using the keyboard are adequately secure, and when in "carry" mode it is very secure, as there is more contact with the back cover. The screen angles one can get are very useful and practical. It doesn't move around on the table. As another reviewer wrote, charge it before setting it up (takes 1-2 hours). The weight is only 5 ounces more than a standard protective cover, and the bulk is the same. The tiny bit of extra weight is worth it IMHO, and is less than nearly all others and much less (and more convenient) than carrying a separate folding keyboard. The weight including the iPad Mini is only 1 pound 3 ounces (the iPad weighs a little over 10 oz by itself). This feels very much like an Apple product, and is definitely worth the $50.

Closest to Magic Keyboard
Pro:Its the thinnest lightest keyboard available for ipad mini. All the others were bulky and heavy. This has great quality build and keys. You can take it off the case easily. Strong magnets hold ipad in place. Cons: I wish the closing would be better. Often the magnets won’t close the case all the way but its not terrible. I wish there was a version with track pad but there isnt room given the mini size. A track pad would also make the case too heavy. The angle of the kickstand could be better. Magic keyboard has a frontward facing angle but again this is minor. Overall: great price, good quality, and lightest keyboard with sleek look and great keys on the market. This is the best you can make it given ipad mini small size.

Cute, useful but not a fan of the stand
It's a unique product on the market, I haven't seen any others which attach with a magnet and have a full keyboard. I don't like the fat, thick plastic cases that envelop the whole thing and make your sleek slim ipad into a giant bulky monstrosity. In that respect this case is perfect. It keeps the iPad small enough to slip into my purse or tuck between the couch cushions. I really hate the way the back flap needs to be folded down to prop up the screen though. It's really floppy and unstable so you need a good flat surface to rest it on. No iPadding on your lap or in bed. Also it leaves half the iPad exposed while you're using it so if it happens to slide off your lap because you're stubborn and did it anyway, it crashes to the floor and pops right out onto the floor. So the case is great because there's no other options like it, but it definitely needs improvement.

HOU iPad mini A17 keyboard case - small but seemed well made.
Overall, the keyboard seems fairly well-made. My iPad did come loose more than I would prefer, ultimately causing me to return the keyboard. It is very slim and appears like a normal apple case in regard to the actual additional size of the case. The key size is small so if you are a touch typist, it may take a moment to get used to it, but for their size the keys do have a nice travel. The case does what it was intended to do, it is both a keyboard that connects by a Bluetooth and acts is a case for the iPad. The stand is actually the back portion of the case, which is why it does seem to come out of the case fairly easily. If you only have half the case back touching the iPad to hold on, well there you go. The actual bending of the back over to make the stand caused there to be a small amount of wiggle when flat on the case back which I did not care for. Power is supplied by a proprietary cable, which does mean that you will always be carrying that cable with you in addition to others. Ultimately, I decided to go back and just use an old apple wireless keyboard that I will carry in my bag and one of the Pitaka origami cases. As others have said the HOU keyboard is probably the closest thing to a magical keyboard for the a17 iPad mini, but there are compromises that exist due to the devices size.

Disconnects a lot and is ultimately unusable
Visually this case is as slick as it comes and I was in love with it immediately. Unfortunately though it kept disconnecting from my ipad after a minute or two of use. And it kept triggering the on-screen keyboard to pop up on my ipad as well. Just to be sure, I connected my bluetooth apple keyboard to my ipad and sure enough it didn't trigger the on-screen keyboard or disconnect or have the same issues. So I know that it was specifically this keyboard case. It's also very small. Like...really small. I'm 5 foot 4, so my hands aren't exactly massive, and this keyboard was way too small for me to get used to. I can no longer use it because the keyboard wont stay connected, and the on-screen keyboard popping up is super annoying. I even charged it with the provided cable and it made no difference in performance, making it unusable.

Overall, really nice
Really nice to the touch on both the cover and the keys- which are both a velvety silicone- the cover more so than the keys. The keys have a nice click sensation to them when you type. Not too small for my hands, but will need to get used to smaller key sizes and some of the accents and punctuation are 3 to a key so you have to use different command keys to get to them. Will probably just take some practice using it. It does stay on with the magnet when closed as a case, but keep in mind that nothing holds it in place when it’s sitting upright, besides for it being leaned on the back kickstand. I like the stand, for the most part. It has a nice tactile feel when you bend it over to make it a triangle stand, and doesn’t go all the way so the iPad will be at a slight incline and never be completely upright at a 90 degree angle-which is fine for me. Can’t speak on the battery life, but all in all seems like a nice, clean design.

Great, sleek Bluetooth keyboard
Great little keyboard. Bluetooth connection is strong. The charging cable is magnetic. Adjustable angle for view. I like being able to switch between keyboard and emojis. Some of the commands/shift keys are different from a traditional qwerty keyboard. Bluetooth Charges last a long time. Also no real protection if dropped. Be careful, if the product is fully opened (flipped all the way over) the keyboard will not work - see last photo. I mistakenly returned it the first time bc I thought it was broken. Just user error.

I understand why this is a highly returned item…
I bought this keyboard folio because it was recommended by a YouTube influencer. When I saw that Amazon had labeled it as a highly returned item, I was hesitant, but ordered it anyway. It’s made fairly well and it fits the iPad mini well, but there are some drawbacks to this keyboard that will make a lot of people return it. I have smallish hands and the keyboard is very cramped. Now, I’ll say that this is for the iPad mini, so you are not going to get a full size keyboard in such a small footprint, but they made some choices that made the keyboard even less usable. The space bar is very small and that is the biggest downside to me. They could have sacrificed the command and option key on the right to allow for a bigger space bar or made the up arrow key set on the right smaller. Another big downside for me is the charging cord is proprietary so if you lose it, you will not be able to charge the keyboard. Not only that, but you cannot close the keyboard and charge it. The contacts are on the upper right of the keyboard and the charging end has to make magnetic contact there and it’s too bulky to close the keyboard so you need to lay it open to charge. The keyboard has nice scissor type keys so the feel of the keyboard is good, but you’ll have to do some finger gymnastics when typing to get the results you want. I kept hitting the command key instead of the space bar. Overall it’s nicely made folio and it will do in a pinch, but you are probably better off getting a foldable portable keyboard that give you more space for the keys, like the iClever foldable keyboard. The tiny space bar and some other keyboard choices in addition to the proprietary charging cable make it so I can’t recommend this keyboard to anyone. Your mileage may vary.

Great accessory for iPad mini (although the product is different from the display pic)
Received a different model. But works very well. The keyboard has mousepad and key size is just perfect. I can work on ppts and excels comfortably. The keyboard is easy to detach. Must have for ipad mini. There is a slot for pencil to charge.
