A High Quality DE Razor
I ordered this and it took about a week to arrive. The first one they sent was the open comb version by mistake. The return process was straight forward and easy. A week later I received the correct close comb razor. The packaging is very good so there was no damage to the razor or other contents inside the box. I like that a stand is included along with a cleaning cloth and five tucks of blades (11 blades per tuck) for you to try. The stand is heavy, stabile and works very well. The machining of the razor is excellent. The finish is extremely nice as well. Every part of the device is well engineered and produced. It looks very nice and much more expensive than it actually is. It feels nice in my hand and I enjoy the heft of it. I really like the two piece design and the adjustability of the razor which is a main reason I bought this instead of a Merkur 34C type of design. The adjustment is fast and efficient and I prefer that over the Rockwell R6C type of razor which is a three piece design that has to be disassembled for adjustment. The blade gap isn't uneven and the handle doesn't rattle so I think the issues from the earliest versions have been well resolved now. I'm really happy with it.I'm new to wet shaving with a DE safety razor but I did a ton of research before choosing the Flexi. I decided on an adjustable razor because I didn't want to end up buying several razors so I could cover all of the bases in regard to aggressiveness. Depending on time between shaves, how many passes I'm making, how quickly I need to shave etc. I may need or want a more or less aggressive blade gap. The Flexi can do it all in a manner that is quick, simple and smooth. Plus it looks great! So how does it shave? That depends. As I said, I'm new to wet shaving so I'm still looking for the right blade for my skin and beard type. I'm also still learning the technique. The more I use it, the better my shaves get. Once you learn how to hold it, it even details nicely. The handle is a good length for my hand and the knurling is just right so it is comfortable to hold and doesn't feel slippery. The adjustment feature is very smooth with no notches so you can freely adjust it to any point you like. Changing blades is easy as well.If you are new to DE safety razors like me, (I shaved with a Mach III for over 30 years) be aware that there is a leaning curve. Don't put much pressure on the razor. Let the weight of the tool do most of the work. Hold it at a shallow angle to your face (the top cap should be touching your face) and watch carefully to make sure you maintain that angle. Take short strokes and don's get in a hurry. Pick a good blade brand and stick with it until you get the hang of DE shaving. You can experiment with different blades after you know what you're doing and find what works best for you. I've found that starting at setting three on the first pass and dialing it down to two for the second pass works well. If I want a third pass, setting 1 works for me. Don't use dull blades. Using a sharp blade lets you cut through the hair with fewer strokes or passes and reduces skin irritation. To be transparent, my first DE shave was terrible and left me looking like an attack victim. I've since learned a lot and I'm enjoying shaving more than I ever have. If you don't think you can deal with the learning curve, get a Henson AL13. It's about the same price (not adjustable though). If you get the angle wrong with that one, it just won't shave so the risk of a cut is very low. However, if you want a classy looking, well made and affordable adjustable razor, I think the Flexi is very good. Over time, the money you save on blades will pay for the razor which makes it a good investment. Hopefully my experience has been helpful for you. Happy shaving!

Interesting adjustable razor from Pearl
It is a very interesting product. I was using both Parker and Vikings' adjustable safety razors. Though I loved Parker's adjustable safety razor the most. The cons of Vikings: Its adjustment dial is so smooth that it changes very quickly so the setting gets changed very fast while doing the shave. Also, its butterfly design is not stable. The cons of Parker: It is a bit lengthy for my hand. Being of Indian heritage, my hands are smaller and hence it is a bit of an issue. The pros of Parker: It has a perfect weight such that it glides smoothly over the skin. The adjustment dialer is very sturdy and doesn't change while doing the shave. I like to hold the razor near to its head so this becomes an advantage. It also reaches very near to hard-to-reach places such as next to my nose where often others don't reach or I get scared with the aggressive setting. I didn't feel scared while using the Parker razor. The Pros of Pearl: It has a good weight similar to Parker so it becomes smooth for shaving. However, its adjustable dial is near the head so it bothers me as I like to hold the razor by its head. So this is for me, others can have different opinions. But the good thing is that the dial doesn't change with a simple touch so settings remain the same. It also doesn't expose the blade on the end.The Cons of Pearl: For me, the length is a bit of an issue since it is shorter for my hand. So a bit lengthy rod would have been better but not as lengthy as Parker's one. I couldn't feel any difference in the aggressiveness or exposure of the blades between 0 through 2 settings. Because of that, I felt the razor is not cutting the hair at all. At 2.5 I could feel the blade cutting the hairs.Compared to Parker it was not reaching to hard-to-reach places. The other thing is that the razor has a rattle noise such that something is broken internally, maybe a spring or something? I saw a few people reporting that on Amazon. The blades that come with this product are not great compared to Parker, Feather, Derby, RK, or Gillette blades. I had to force the razor to cut the hair even though the setting was on the aggressive side. Maybe in the future, blades would need to change the sharpness or material. One more thing is to provide the manual to show how to open and adjust the razors etc. It was missing from the box.Overall I liked the Pearl Adjustable Razor. I would recommend this to everyone.Edit: After using this razor for 2-3 times, I feel that I can really get the closer shave as Parker one. I can maneuver that very easily with wet hands. Hence upgrading the stars from 4 to 5.

Solid “tank” DE Razor
This razor is built like a little “tank” and feels wonderful in the hand. I like almost everything about it. The one thing I would like is a tad longer handle but that a YMMV thing. I like the rounded corners, the rinse channels, blade fit and alignment, the feeling of adjusting the level of efficiency and the disassembly is all very smooth. For the money it’s definitely worth a try. I usually use a plate 3/4 on Rockwell and on this I used setting 3.5 which worked well for me. Enjoy the journey and enjoy the shaves!

Real nice build, box candy and price point
Heavy. Quality is there. Stand and tons of blade included. Easy price point for someone wanting an adjustable razor The top seems a little bigger. Can really get under the nose as easy as my other razors. Similar to my Rex adjustable. The dot on the dial can only be moved to 1.5.I prefer a butterfly to a 3 piece. Just easier to clean every shave. If price point is importance try one. If you can put out the money, check out a Rex.
