Educational Research: Competencies for Analysis and Applications (10th Edition)

BORING! BORING! BORING! Sorry, dear writers! With all the respect to the writers' work they have done, this book goes really slow ... you only read it because you have to, or it's the course requirement. However, it does give you all you need to know about educational research in detail. It's just a plain description of the research process ... If I were writing this book, I'd make it more and more engaging for the reader. The only break you take from the boredom of reading it is the pictures in the beginning of each chapter that depict scenes from famous movies with their characters and the quotation underneath it. Recommend for people who need to use the book as a reference or read it across the pages,

I bought the Kindle edition of this book for a course on Educational Research. I do not enjoy reading but this book is interesting and easy to read. The Kindle Edition appears to be lacking in some respects since you can not go directly to the Table of Contents or the beginning of the book. There is, however, a document navigation (under View) and a search option and you can view your bookmarks and highlights. The document navigation will take you directly to each area of the book including the index. Clicking on a name in the index will also take you to the appropriate area of the book.

Was perfect for what I needed. I appreciated that i didn't have to buy one. Book was rather beat up, but I just needed it for one class so it was perfect.

I have both the print and a digital copy of the book. Both are the same as far as I can tell. It is a surprisingly entertaining read. It does a good job of describing the process and some of the tools of research.

Got me through my grad class in one piece. I am not an educational researcher, nor do I plan to be. I was happy with this book as my introduction to the process.

This book is for a graduate class and so far so good, no complaints about the contents.However, I was disappointed with the binding. I spent so much money on this textbook and the binding is broken in the center. I cherish my books and prefer buying instead of renting so I can include my notes and keep over time. I am disappointed in the quality of construction :(

Book was good, it just got a little repetitive with some of the theories. I would have preferred to just read one theory at a time not multiple

The text met the requirements fort research methods class. It was accessible, easily comprehended and presented in a way that was tolerable if not on occasionally pleasurable for a normally mind numbing topic.

It's really awesome with its unique examples.. it's the primary book and sometimes j.w. Creswell also referred this in their book. It is not for those who are fresher's and english vocabulary is not very rich.

Value for money.
