Brilliant little barbecue lighter
I've bought Proxxon tools before and was pleased with the quality. It's probably not what the manufacturer intended it for, but I actually bought this for lighting my kamado barbecue. It works brilliantly for that. It was easy to fill with gas, lights immediately and generates a perfectly sized flame. The wood wool firelighters are aflame instantly - much easier than other lighting methods that I've used over the years.

Great little gadget
I'd been wanting a mini-torch for years for those small soldering and heating jobs where my regular propane torch was simply too big. This little gem fits the bill perfectly. It appears to be well-constructed, and the separate gas and air flow adjustments permit precise regulation of the flame. The crowning touch is the piezo igniting system, that lights the torch every time on the first click. A little more expensive than some other, similar items on offer here, but the old adage about getting what you pay for certainly applies here.

Proxxon Microflame Torch
An excellent tool for soldering work. Replaced a previous version which gave many years excellent service. Usual high quality of Proxxon tools rather than cheaper cloned versions which don’t seem to last nearly as long.

High quality product... Absolutely faultless.
Compared to the other micro torches this one shows how it should be done. Flame control is very precise and stable due in part by the air control. Not the cheapest but better than ones costing considerably more.

Very handy tool
I bought this thinking I must have paid too much, because there are lots of similar, but smaller, products from overseas at much much lower prices. But I have some other Proxxon equipment, and have been very pleased with that, so I bought this. I have not been disappointed. In fact, it i so easy to operate this, with its built-in lighting device, and the little shoe fr the base is very stable, so it sits on the bench all the time, and is in regular use. The burner can be lifted and fired up with one hand, which is very convenient. Would I buy another? Yes. Did I pay too much? No; the extra was worth it for the design features which make it easy to use and easy to adjust the flame.

Stopped working won't ignite
Stopped working flame will not ignite at all. Wouldn't recommend for this reason very expensive considering only worked for a very short while.

Just Awesome!
I bought this for jewellery making and it is the best torch I now own. Fills really easily and the gas lasts a long time between refills. Very easily to switch on, ignite and control flame. Proxxon tools are excellent quality and this a torch I would highly recommend.

I've bought a number of butane microtorches over the years, some real duds and a couple that kind of work, the gas reservoirs are usually too small and ergonomics are often an afterthought. This torch has a tank that holds enough butane for an hour, has decent controls, and gets hot enough for silver soldering. It is small, well-made and works reliably. I have no hesitation recommending this torch.
