Ingenious Device!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This device is ingenious, replaced my @@@@ B&Q “battery zapping intermittent poor quality” door bell with this. I don’t normally write reviews but this is a great design. Easy to set up. Comes with 2 plug in speakers so u can set up anywhere around the house. The doorbell generates power by flicking back out after you’ve pressed it in, so the energy created by pressing inwards is transferred to charging the battery. Let’s see if it lasts 8 years!

Overcomplicated, but it works well enough.
Didn't realize that you had to plug the big ones in to the wall.If I'd level one criticism, it's that it's seemingly impossible to select a "simpler" tune.It starts off with having _two_ rings of the bell for one button press, and as you cycle through, it goes through oh my darling (clementine), and jingle bells, and many others which will probably take quite a while to finish/burn out. It would be nice if there was an easier option to just set 1 clang of a bell, or a buzzer noise. And the addition of not having to drill holes in the front wall is pretty nifty.

No maintenance should lead to longer life
I bought this to replace a battery-powered, wireless doorbell. Each change of the old doorbell's battery, requiring the bending of a small plastic tab with a screwdriver, weakened the doorbell plastic and it clearly wasn't going to last too many years. Hence the reason for wanting a doorbell that doesn't need a battery. The units feel well made and it was delivered very promptly. My main concern was whether the doorbell would have enough power to reach the main unit upstairs at the back of the house but range hasn't been a problem. There are some very small niggles. The volume and ringtone selection are forgotten when the power is removed. Somebody obviously had fun creating all the ringtones but I found all bar the first one a bit fanciful. The ringer unit has a flashing display of blue LEDs when it rings. This will be useful for the hard of hearing. One of the blue LEDs stays on while the ringer is powered. At first I had the ringer unit installed in my bedroom because that's where there was a handy power socket but the blue LED was disturbingly bright when I was trying to sleep so it has been moved to another room, further away and the volume turned up. The doorbell is slightly wider than most wireless doorbells so make sure it will fit.

Surprisingly good doorbells
Very easy to install. Great to have one receiver for downstairs and another for upstairs with good volume and so don't expect to miss anyone calling at the door. Having 51 tunes would be fun if only my wife didn't want to stick with a traditional chime. Only had them three days and so cannot comment on durability but pleased so far.

The system is very easy to set up
The system is very easy to set up, in fact, there is no setting up really. You just plug the bell sounder into a socket, stick the bell push on your door and it's done. Push the battery-less bell push and the first chime sounds. All you need do now is to set the volume on each receiver and choose one of the 51 chimes. Some of them are quite long!. The units look OK, the range is good and it works. However, two disadvantages. Firstly, you can't add any more receivers. Secondly, the units have no 'memory', so if you switch off the socket or move your receiver to another socket, it reverts to the first melody. If you happen to like melody 51 then you will have to scroll through the other 50. No big deal but worth noting if you foresee moving the receivers around a lot. In the end though, it's a bell, so just stick with the first chime unless you reall want to listen to Fur Elise!

a brilliant product for the price
Quite simply, a brilliant product for the price. Really clever idea having a self powered press for the bell. Was able to use the supplied 3M adhesive pads and stick if straight to the brickwork of our house (note, the press is wider than a traditional powered button press) which saved drilling holes and routing cable. Two receivers in the pack, so I have one upstairs and one downstairs. Very wide selection of tunes to pick from, several Xmas ones and "happy birthday" too, so fun for special occasions. A lot of them are a little tinny, the one we settled for is a few bars from "Hey Jude". Overall, outstandingly good value.

Amazing Door Bell
As usual our ordered item arrived on time In fact a day earlier than expected. I use an Amazon pick up point and find this so convenient. No need to be in or asking the neighbour to take it in. This door bell set of two receivers and one bell push was up and running within about three minutes of unpacking. There was no set up needed as all units were already paired. Even the default chime was just right so I didn't have to go through the fifty odd tunes available, The units are so neat and look very modern. The receivers are about the size of one of those plug in timers. I fitted the bell push to the uPVC frame of our door with the adhesive pads provided and they seem to have a strong bond. Only time will tell.Having listened to them through out our fairly large bungalow we find that we only need one chime unit. So we have one spare just in case. Although it will come in handy when we are working in the garden or shed as it is so easy just to plug it in and switch on.We are very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it.

Doesn't work half the time
Quite simply: The doorbell doesn't work half the time. It comes with 2 mains powered receivers, we got 1 downstairs and another one upstairs. Average size house, there is no big distance between the doorbell and the receivers. It is supposed to be a "clever" system in the sense that pressing the doorbell acts as the charging mechanism... Sounded great, but if you go a few days without anyone pressing the doorbell, then it will fail to work. It takes quite a few presses (more than 5) for any of the receivers to ring.Since it fails to do the one thing you buy it for, this gets a 1 star.
