Says what it say on description
Love it a silent wheel. No sound at ll. Good for hamster that loves to run.

It needs to be put together better
The spinning wheel it self is quiet and the degu's love it. But the back came with the cross piece out of position so I had to put it on the stand. This makes the cage shake when they use it. So I think they need to check the fixing screw is in the right place before sending them out. Easy to wipe down and the degu's cannot nibble too much through these so it is sturdy.

Pleasently surprised.
After loads of research and tonnes of reading reviews, I finally chose to order one of these in 30cm. A full grown Syrian needs 8-12 inch to ensure its back will not be compromised. I have seen some sadder reviews on this item, but I decided the good outweighed the bad and went for it because I could just return anyway if it was rubbish. BUT after a week of my little Churro running for its life, i can say I am impressed. First of all, it's HUGE I measured the 30cm into my 3ft tank but still, i was amazed at the size. It hasn't taken over my tank though despite the size, and has weirdly saved floor space from the flat spinner I originally had... so that in itself is a little bonus. As for the sound, I think I've gotten lucky because I near nothing when he's running. Sometimes I will look over to see what he's up to and he's mid way going hell for leather at it without me even knowing! Right at the start, I had to readjust it as it got 'wobbly' when it was spinning, there's a little yellow centre that you can use to tighten this back up: I've only done this once on day one and it's been fab since. Cleaning wise, I have no complaints. It is so easy. I haven't tried it attached to a cage bar as I only have glass walls, so sorry I can't review that bit but the free standing part works brilliant. I would recommend this to your little furry friend. Churro says 10/10

1 very happy syrian hamster!
We bought the spinner as a replacement for a Rolly Rat Wheel because the Rat Wheel was starting to crack on the axle (2 years of being absolutely hammered by a syrian hamster!). We looked at the Spinner prior to buying the Rat Wheel but the cost then (over £36) was too expensive. We paid £22 for this one as it had been reducedPlease be aware that this Spinner is HUGE (about 13" in height with stand and 7" in depth so you will need a big cage to fit it in - you can use a hacksaw to shorten the stand (as suggested by anothe reviewer - thanks!) but not by much. Just wish it was 1 inch smaller in diameter as it would fit in a lot more cages. If you use it on the stand and ir is placed on a plastic base of the cage you may need to secure it to the wires of the cage as it does move round the cage with the vibrations quite a lot (just use a piece of string - if it get's chewed it doesn't matter!).Our Syrian, Coco, loves it - I wouldn't say it's silent but not far off. He runs in it, eats, preens and occasionally falls out of it when he goes a bit too fast but jumps straight back in - great purchase and the elaborate axle mechanism hopefully means it should last longer than the Rolly as the Rolly is prone to axle splitting.Would highly recommend this size for a Syrian as the smaller spinner @8.5" is far to small and would result in a syrian having spine issues - always compare a Syrian as the size of a rat, guinea pig, chinchilla etc as they can grow to that size. Our new hamster started off in 8.5" then switched to this size at 2 months old - no problems with it at all and we have had several Syrians now.

Noisy for a silent wheel
I had to send it back, as it's meant to be silent and it squeaks a lot and the stand is very flimsy

does job, to a satisfactory standard
Well... The superpet silent spinner wheel 6.5" is an all in all excellent hamster, I am going to give you the most unbiased hamster review I possibly can. First of this wheel comes with a stand or a tab at the back of the wheel which enables it to be clipped to a wire (horizontally wired) cage, the cage does not however clell to vertical wired cages. The wheel itself makes minimal noise but then again you will never get a silent wheel, as the hamsters build pace on the wheel it begins to make a rumbling noise IF it is clipped to a wire cage, or maybe this was just my wheel, the wheel comes in a variation of colours as you may already know, so this makes the wheel all the more attractive, it is best to attach this wheel to the cage because MANY MANY hamsters have been know to topple over and knock down the wheel whilst trying to get directly underneath it while they explore every inch of their cages as they do and hamsters have nor the strength nor intelligence to pick it back up. Also when the hamster builds pace on the wheel it begins to make a small rumbling noise the sort of noise you hear when you stick your index fingers in your ears then use your thumb to smack the ear lobe, nevertheless I think this hamster is a good wheel and by the way it Is perfectly OK!!! For syrian hamsters, what most people don't know about syrian hamsters and their excercise system is that a hamster will walk on a wheel (if need be) to burn off the calories if the wheel is too small, that's why it is important to buy a hamster wheel big enough for your hamster although if you want your hamster to live the luxury life, buy the 12 INCH

Great wheel, amazing for big rodents!
I got this wheel for my degus, as i wanted one without spokes, as it can hurt their feet, and also was attracted by the 'silent' part of the name since they are kept in my bedroom at all times, including at night. Although a bit more expensive, this wheel is very big so worth the money. All 3 of my degus can run on it at the same time, which they love doing to be honest, which is good. It is made of thick plastic, so is quite chew proof. You must be careful if buying this however, as it is one of the biggest wheels you can buy, and is good for things like chinchillas and hedgehogs, so bear it in mind, i have a large 2 tier chinchilla cage for my degus, about 80 cm high and it just about fit in, as the cage is split in half for them to climb. It is 'silent' as said in the name. It makes no noise itself, but still makes noise when the side of the cage rattles when it spins fast, so also take this into account. Overall though, I was really pleased with it :)

Too big for gerbils
It was too big for my gerbils to push however it’s great quality and pretty quiet. The only issue was it was too big for my gerbils but that’s not the wheels fault. I wish silent spinner did a 10” or 11” wheel though that would be perfect
