Unraveling Him: A Small-Town Romance (The Bailey Brothers Book 3)
A**.
Lone Wolf and Chirpy Cricket
Evan, the second eldest brother of Bailey family has successfully isolated himself outside the town with his dog, Sasquash. He is grumpy, stoic, growly man, who is done with women. Love does not exist in his world. Until, Fiona crash landed in his life. Fiona is a chirpy girl with a beautiful smile, sexy nose ring and some badass tattoos. She loves to name her plants and talk to them. She has to find a solution to her problems and get out of a messy situation. She has a plan to make Evan Bailey help her; a deal offer that Evan couldn’t resist.Fiona’s strong will to live her life on her terms and conditions leads her to Evan. She couldn’t stop thinking about the man who had told ‘No’ to her father. Evan was tempted by the deal offered by Fiona to get a restoration project that would be the biggest build of his life. He had no idea how a road trip with a weirdo could change his life. The weird girl who finds everything funny, talks a lot, sings wrong lyrics and is always happy was definitely driving him crazy. But, he admired her bravery for taking a stand for herself.“Bravery isn’t the absence of fear, its feeling fear and doing it anyway”Slowly and gradually the need to protect her consumed Evan. It was difficult for him to stay away from her. Despite not wanting to want anyone in his life, he can’t seem to resist her charm. Evan was a Lone Wolf and Fiona was a Chirpy Cricket.“Cricket is who she is. She’s the evening song that soothes the spirit of the restless wolf”I certainly loved the story; it is just amazing and mind-blowing. Evan and Fiona make a lovely couple. The story had a lot of special aspects. It definitely had some next level romantic moments. It’s a perfect mixture of love, romance, comedy, jealousy, unspoken bonds and love of the family. This whole series has an enchanting effect on me; I just love all the characters and plots in the whole series. It is adorable to see Cara with Grace and Fiona; and I am definitely shipping Cara and Logan, I love their bickering. Gavin doesn’t miss a single chance to show his charms and even I have started to think he sure has a death wish. Fiona’s friendship with Luke is also one of my favourite aspects of the book. I am not forgetting Gram, she is my favourite. I always look forward to what wise words Gram will say to show her cubs the right direction, and the wait is worth it.I will definitely recommend every romantic soul to read this entire series of Bailey Brothers. It has become one of my favourite book series.

I love the Bailey’s
I am completely hooked on the Bailey boys and the woman they love. I read this series last year and decided to reread, I was missing the small town vibes. I actually was completely shocked when I started crying during Grace and Achers story. I thought I read this before and I am crying my eyes out like it’s the first time. I cried again with Evan and Fiona. That’s the effect these characters hand Claire’s writing has on you, it makes you laugh, cry and totally wraps you up in their world. If you haven’t read these books yet. Clear your schedule, grab some tissues and start, you won’t regret it. If you want to get the full experience read the Miles family too. I wish someone would make a TV series with these stories❤️⭐️🔥🚒🚗💍🐿️

Great read
Loved Fiona and Evan’s story. Suck a good match. The brooding mechanic and the quirky plant talking girl. They meet in the most unusual circumstance and with her relationship with her dad and bff crumbling, she embarks on a new path. One that takes her to Evan. Fiona’s spunky and innocently sweet demeanour wins him over and the rest is history. Loved their story.

Damaged heart repaired by crazy plant lady! Perfect!
** This book is book 3 in the Bailey Brothers series. Whilst you could read this as a standalone title, I strongly urge you to read books 1 & 2 before getting into this. Not only will you learn about Evan and his crazy family, but you’ll also understand more about the dynamics of this feud filled small town and the underlying story of the possible origins of the Tilikum town scandal.**Oh. My. God!! They say the quiet ones are often the most passionate… well, that’s definitely true where Evan Bailey is concerned. There’s not much we know about Evan Bailey except that unlike his crazy brothers, he’s quiet, grumpy and awkwardly unsociable. Following his brother Asher’s incarceration, his life fell apart. Dropping out of college, and ‘squirrelling’ himself away (you’ll understand that reference more if you’ve read this series), Evan is pretty much a recluse. With his trusty German Shepherd sidekick, Sasquatch he lives alone in a creepy cabin a couple of miles out of town, right next to his custom car and auto repair ‘Shop’.The only people who venture out that way are his family and customers and that’s just the way he likes it. If he lets no one in to his heart, they can’t break it again. His resolve is tested however, when the craziness that is Fiona Gallagher literally bounces into his life. He’s had a run in with her double-crossing, cheating low-life father who had knowingly sold him a stolen car. In addition to discovering the truth about his shady dealings, Fiona also finds her father in bed with her best friend Simone. Disgusted with him, Fiona quits her job as his assistant, packs everything up, especially her beloved houseplants, Myra and Blanche and walks out. Loading up her car, she heads off for pastures new. But there’s one thing she needs to do first.Mortified by her fathers hand in Evan’s misfortune, she sets out to make amends for the underhanded deal. Arriving at his Shop, Evan is reluctant at first, but if what she promises is true, it could win him the prestige and notoriety he’d been working towards.Cue an unforeseen road trip to secure the deal on a once in a lifetime rare opportunity. On the journey it appears that the competition to seal the deal is trickier than anticipated when Evan’s oldest and bitterest rival, Luke Haven is the other party interested in his dream car. This could get messy! When they arrive, Evan is worried that he’s too late but as the optimistic Fiona works her magic, hope flashes in Evans eyes. As Evan talks through his vision for an authentic rebuild, the owner offers the car to Evan immediately without question. The return road trip is interesting. Fiona is hilariously sweet. She’s quirky to say the least. Evan is completely perplexed at this strangely adorable young woman he’s inadvertently spent the last couple of days driving across country with. As much as her craziness alarms him, he can’t help but be fascinated by her.Of course, it’s not going to take long for Fiona’s ever cheerful and alluringly beautiful soul to permeate Evans fierce and brooding heart. Whilst staying with him to fix her own car, Evan makes every effort to tamp down his attraction to her, but eventually he starts to admit that he has feelings for her. Nevertheless, he’s scared. He’s had his heart broken before and it’s taken every ounce of determination to get himself where he is; but there’s a difference between being alone and being lonely.Having Fiona in his life makes him realise that he no longer wants to be lonely. She makes everything better, even if she does talk to plants. Even his dog loves her. It’s obvious Fiona loves Evan just as much, even when he’s Mr Grouchypants, she has a way of bringing him round through teasing his good nature out of him.It takes a while, but eventually they both admit how they feel and a few steamy encounters later, they are practically inseparable. Evan has fallen for her, and fallen hard. Now he’s found her, he’s never letting her go. Unfortunately, that doesn’t stop the threat of someone taking her from him though and when his worst fears are realised, it’s a race against time to get the love of his life safely back in his arms.I honestly never thought I’d like Evan as much as I have ended up liking him. His love for the crazy girl that brings him out of his hermit shell is so incredibly heartwarming. They are perfect for each other in so many ways whilst being total opposites. She brings out his sweet, caring and playful side… something that has been sadly missing since losing his parents. They both bring out the best in each other and their shared passion for classic cars and all things petrol-heady makes for a unique bond.A great and uplifting story with so much pent up emotion and restraint that when it’s finally released, it’s like a loved up waterfall.Absolutely loved it. Well done Claire Kingsley… yet another fabulous chapter in yet another amazing series.
