Value at sub £70.00
I opted for the Onkyo due to their history in making quality Hi-Fi, I've got to say that having read the reviews I agree whole heartedly with customers Comments about the Onkyo W8080T.I picked these up as a Amazon return for sub £60.00 so Im basing my review on that price point, If anybody paid the initial £230.00 then Im sure they would not be happy, the sound quality is not great with virtually no bass sound, lots of treble which can be tinny, some fettling with my Iphone's sound output did improve sound very slightly. The left ear headphone drops out often but reconnects within a nano second which is annoying as its not a fade out just a very annoying click, Once initially setup on BT and connected they reconnect after a few days laying idle very well, love the charging case which holds 5 charges, case is small and funky, recharging the pods in/on the charging dock could and should be better but is no more than a bad design. They do sit in the ear ok and don't work loose, I will try bigger silicone bud covers to see if I can improve the bass with a tighter lobe fit which I have read improves the sound.Overall Im happy at the price point as they are convenient and I like the Brand, I would not buy these at over £100 as I feel you will be ultimately disappointed with the quality. My personal opinion, hope it helps.Update : bigger silicone buds and EQ change on the iPhone, I’m liking these a lot now.DavidDevon UK

Annoying connection drops between earpieces
Let me start with the best part. The SOUND.- I bought these for £79 a few days ago. The sound of these earphones are phenomenal. Have not heard anything like this for such a price tag. These very expensive a few years ago. No leakage of bass, middle and high notes are all exquisite. You got to hear it to believe it.And now the worst part(s)- I had to order it Twice! First time the package lost in the transit by Hermes UK. I had to apply for the refund. Then bought these again and finally it arrived and was delivered by amazon. That was a very poor user experience to begin with.- The earphones have huge connection issue. Utterly annoying! Completely kills the listening experience. Imagine u listening to music and it stops coming from left (slave) earpiece for half a second and it repeatedly dropping every 8-10 seconds, or when the track changes. At times it just goes completely mute in the left ear. Then u restart the left earpiece and the music comes back. Its way too more than frequent. Gives you a feeling as if u going deaf in left ear every now and then.- Audio/video lag. I think its a common issue with most of the true wireless earphones. Some has more lag than the others but lag is there, when you watch a movie on smartphone, laptop or projector/TV, the sound comes bit later than the visuals due to sync latency. In Onkyo W800bt, the lag is significant if you are using smart tv or projector and projecting using streaming devices like chromecast/roku. Its about 1 sec delayed on macbook when u are streaming through Netflix or YouTube. Even on a downloaded content on mobile show about .5sec delay. I expect it from a 1st gen true wireless earphones especially when latest true wireless earphones still have some lags.- Noise cancellation is alright. Maximum volume during call could be slightly higher. Noise cancellation is just ok.VERDICT: all in all if the intermittent connection drop issue gets fixed then these are great first gen true wireless earphones with amazing sound signature for purely listening to music.I will get mine replaced and retry if in case new ones do not have the connection drop issue as I love the sound of it for such price.

Onkyo w800bt
I know onkyo for there brilliant quality and perfection in Music, the W800bt are no different they are extremely comfortable and boy they sound awesome! They drop out every so often but not much! What I didnt like (and therefore only given 3*) is the functionality, you cant Play/Pause or skip tracks the only thing you can do is pickup phone calls which I think is stupid! They come in a fairly big rechargeable box, but its quite a thing to fit them in there are no magnetic connecters and the biggest problem for me when watching a movie they lag terribly! There is no software update thatswhy I have had to send those back at £229 you should get more technology than that!

Almost useless
The earpieces are uncomfortable to wear .If you want to use them while jogging you will find that they take up all your time just to keep them from falling out . Bluetooth connectivity becomes weaker over time .The sound is not special . And you will find that any old headphones are of better quality .Altogether tedious and overpriced .

I wanted to love these, but they just arn't up to the task. The primary issue is that the ear buds are a poor fit which results in no bass (and I really mean no bass), this for me is a show stopper. It is a real shame though as I found that if I was to push the buds in more the audio is exceptional and would easily beat my Bose SoundSport. The other issue I had with them was getting the pairing to work consistently often times it would take time to get audio out of both buds.I returned them in the end.

Dated technology
The actual sound was not too bad for the price... the charging experience was a total nightmare, so fiddly aligning a thin metal pin inside a tiny hole was just annoying. They looked okay in the ear ... a little on the large side. Had to return purely on the charge palaver.

Would recommend.
Excellent, very happy with them. Sound quality is as good as other reviews suggested, noise cancelling is good and they connect easily.
