This pudding basin was well packaged and arrived in good condition. It's very sturdy. I steamed the pudding in a pan for 8 hours and the pudding came out smelling and looking wonderful and the basin is still in good condition (no cracks or other defects). The basin is plain, but it is only used in the cooking process, so I don't think it's necessary for it to be decorative. All in all I would say that it is a solid piece of cookware that will last for a long time. If I have any problems with it cracking in the future, I will update my review.

Christmas Pudding had always been something I was planning to make for a long time. Beside the few special ingredients, one does not need any special skills, only a sturdy, heatproof pudding basin, to cook this special Holiday treat; in fact, this is the problematic part: unfortunately, here in Hungary, it is an extremely difficult thing to find a proper pudding bowl which is both heatproof and has the required shape. If you are considering learning the art of "pudding making", but do not want to spend a fortune on tools, I would highly recommend you to get one of these basins!

Very pleased with this purchase. It's suitable for oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher. The finish is good and looks the part. I've yet to use it but I'm sure it will be up to a good amount of use. I actually bought it as part of a set for what I think was a very good price, bearing in mind how much they charge in shops for what would seem inferior quality.

I hunted high & low for a pudding dish like this one in shop after shop in Lancashire,Cheshire & even in Devon over a period of a few weeks whilst driving around. The day I spotted it on Amazon was a blessing, & I have to say it makes a great evenly cooked pudding. I have since discovered the same bowls by the same company in a fairly local shop in Clevellys but there still not as cheap as on here. I do now own a 1 Ltr bowl & a 1/2 Ltr one for than more individual serving, but haven't got to using the smaller one yet. I'm just a big pudding man......LOL

So easy to clean dish washer safe.Cooked two Christmas pudds in them and came out great.Good value for money does what there ment for and very high quality

Dieser pudding basin ist schlicht und macht was er soll ohne kaputt zu gehen. Wurde 6+ Stunden in meinem Slow Cooker gedämpft, ohne Problem, der (Christmas) pudding wurde erhitzt in der Mikrowelle ohne Problem, und wurde gespült in der Spülmaschine ohne Problem. Schön wär's natürlich, wenn's etwas günstiger wäre, aber für Importware kann man den Preis verkraften.

One bowl had a flaw in the glaze, at the bottom center inside the bowl. Both bowls were very thin crockery. I would have sent them back, but it would have cost me $35. Very disppointed.

Eignet sich super für Salate, Müsli, Suppen, wir haben lange nach so einer Schüssel in dieser Grösse gesucht und es war gar nicht so einfach, deshalb haben wir dann auch gleich mehrere davon bestellt, Qualität top.
