it looks like it should hold up well if it stays outdoors ...
Gave this to my daughter for Christmas and she enjoys it. The lookout part is a bit too short for her to stand up in, but she usually just crawls right through to the slide anyway. It assembled fairly quickly, but if I remember correctly a few of the pieced needed a bit of extra force to get in place (but that's not unusual with anything plastic that needs assembly). So far this has been in the house until the warmer weather comes, it looks like it should hold up well if it stays outdoors until next winter.

Needs Better QA
My 17-month old son loves this product. However, the product needs better quality control to make sure that rough seams, where the plastic meets, are sanded down in areas where there will be constant contact by a child. An hour after my son started playing with this he had scratches from the top of the stairs where there is a rough plastic seam. This can be fixed with a bit of sandpaper, however I didn't expect it would ship from the company in this condition.Update: We were very happy with Step2's response for this issue. When given the product code, they were able to follow up with the QA team and review the issue so it can be corrected in the future.

Too short, narrow for my average 15 month old
Nice product but 1.5-5 year old age identification doesn't seem right. My son is 15 months old and 50th percentile on height and 3rd percentile on weight. He barely has room on the slide and has to duck to miss the entrance to look out area. And his head is about 1-2" from the top of the look out area.I'm not sure what age this would be appropriate for but it is (1) easy to assemble (2) feels sturdy (3) and is great for an indoor play area.Since it won't last us very long we are returning it.

Easy enough that mom put it together!
This was super easy to put together! I was able to do it completely by myself before my husband came home for lunch. It did take me a few tries to get the legs on but I was determined with a little push and twist it worked. My 15 month old ones it and instantly climbed up the slide the wrong way. :) it is light weight enough so I can move it to mow. I am very happy with this purchase.

But he is a pretty tall toddler for his age
This is a really cute little sliding board with a little lookout. He loves it and we do too. I'm not sure how long he'll be able to use it because he's only 16 months old and his head touches the ceiling already. But he is a pretty tall toddler for his age. But he just ducks down a very little bit and slides down his slide and then tries to come up the slide.

Easy to build and very practical climber
This is the second climber I purchased ( The first being the step 2 Alpine Ridge climber and slide. Of course the Alpine Ridge climber is a lot bigger so the comparison between the two is unfair. However this is a very practical and smaller sized climber which is perfect for a small child around the age of 12-18 months and perfect for keeping inside a smaller house with somewhat elevated ceilings. I purchased this climber for my nephew who is turning one , and I haven't given it to him yet ( so I can't comment on whether he likes it or not ). My children, as seen in the photo just turned three and they are having a really fun time on it . They can't stand up all the way but it is no dealbreaker because they love just crawling on it and looking out the lookout Pipe! Plus it is really easy to just take off the roof if you want to prolong the use of this Climber to adapt it with your child as he grows... The slide is a little short but doesn't stop my children from having fun . Baby if children were used to larger slides they may not enjoy the slide as much but it is not a problem for us . This is a great climber to start off with and it was easy enough for a mom, as I, to put it together in less than an hour. The only problem with the assembly was that it did not come with predrilled holes for the roof. But that is no problem because I will have my husband drill the holes in, which will take 5 to 10 minutes. I do recommend this product .

Pretty good.
The 18-month-old twins love it. I don't see how a 5-year-old could be comfortable using it... but they're weird so maybe. It was easy to put together. The Step2 label was loose and randomly stuck to the wrong piece, tried to replace it but it kept falling off so I tossed it.Some of the seams when pieces were joined during manufacture have hard plastic edges that I had to file down for safety (easy enough though I ruined a couple of emery boards since I didn't have a proper file). It is very light which makes it easy to move for mowing but not as stable as I would like. I will definitely have to invest in a sturdier playhouse in a couple of years (if that long).

Very easy to assemble
I've had this since my twin babies turned 1 and they are almost 2 now, and they still play on it from time to time. The slide is not very high and short, but with right pants on, they can slide down quite fast and still land safely. The most important thing for me is that it is easy to assemble and probably dis-assemble as well. It's not taking too much space (as its kind), and it's sitting at my living room corner and making little space behind the ladder will allow them to start playing.it might slide around, but I just let it because it would allow me to move it and vacuum the area, but placing some silicon will make it stable enough.

Short roof for a short kid
I was unsure of buying this because of the roof height. It arrived and I had to return it because it was missing a part of the periscope. Once we got the new one with all of the pieces it was very easy to assemble. My concern for the roof turned out correct, because even at 2 years of age and being a short kid, my son could not fully stand up with the roof on. We left it off. It is still very sturdy without the roof on and he climbs on it, plays on it, and slides down no problem. Just wish it would have been a bit taller so that we would have been able to use the roof. Mixed feelings on the legs. Easy to take off to store, but when moving around the yard they collapse pretty easy and have to be reinserted.

Bigger than it looks. Helped make a boring yard into a fun garden.
Believe it or not I ordered this accidently but kept it. It became my daughter's birthday present. In the summer I put it in our garden and the kids love it. I was afraid that it would be too small but it's a good size even for a 5 year old. The first day I put it up my kids and the neighbor kids were all playing on it from ages 2 to 8 and it didn't ever feel too young. I was nervous at first about 5 kids on it at the same time but it was stable and safe and they had a really good time. It's very easy to set up and take down and it's light but strong. My kids have pretended it's a tree house to a pirate ship to a time machine. It's small enough to be used in a large room during colder weather. I am very glad I accidently ordered this because it's helped make our small backyard into a garden that the kids love playing in.
