I've wanted to play drums for 15+ years, but didn't have money or space for a kit. I play 6 instruments so I'm not new to music, but I'm a complete beginner at drums, so keep that in mind.This kit is the cheapest option that you won't outgrow too quickly. It sounds different depending on how hard you hit, and you can hit a cymbal and grab the edge to choke it, or stop the sound early. I'm very impressed and I'm glad I got the 4 cymbal version.The headphones are hot garbage, only one of the ears even works in mine, but you can get decent headphones that plug in and cover your ears without spending too much extra. Try for noise canceling headphones so you don't hear the sound of hitting the pads. I have a couple extras so one became my official drum headphones.If you want to play out loud, you'll need an amp to connect it to. Cheap way around that- check any online marketplace. There are always people that buy electric guitar kits and give up, usually those amps will be your cheapest option.It went together really easily, and I was set up and playing within 90 mins of getting the box! I love it so far.

Just got my kit a couple of days ago. This is my first electronic drumkit. I'm an old school acoustic drummer, but I hadn't played acoustic kit in many years. I got tired of being concerned about bothering neighbors when practicing, so I broke down and ordered this kit. This is the only the 2nd electronic kit I've played. At first I couldn't get one of the crash cymbals to work, but now all cymbals work.This kit came with drum sticks, drum pedal, drum key, and a throne. Never seen a kit come with so much. Setup was pretty easy. I'm still figuring out how to fine tune everything from the module, but it feels good to be playing again.

This is a nice drum set. The set was packaged well and easy to assemble. The number of sounds is really good. I was finding different sounds that I like, although they were parts of different sets. There's a user kit where you can choose your own sounds, which is what I will probably use. I don't expect this to fully replace a real drum set, but it is good for learning, as well as having a quieter set for practicing at home. I own a lot of Donner musical instruments and have been quite happy with the quality.The down side was actually getting it. I was first sent the EC-3130 model with only three cymbals when I had ordered the EC-3133 set with four cymbals. Amazon made it easy to return and exchange. The second set I received was the correct model.I would give the drum set four stars for ease of assembly and drum responsiveness. The only issue was dealing with customer service. After contacting them about receiving the wrong set and an initial email saying they would check into it, a whole week went by without another word from Donner. Also, the Melodics link still won't work using the Amazon order numbers, also without a response from Donner customer service. I'm dropping a star from the review for lack of customer service.In summary: Good product. Finally received what was expected. Poor response from customer service.Edit: After writing this review, Donner Customer Service reached out. I think we both agree Amazon shipped the wrong set the first time, which was resolved by the replacement. I have lots of Donner musical instruments (at least seven) and all are very good quality. This drum set is exactly what I expected and is a really good drum learning tool. As far as the drum set is concerned, I am a satisfied customer. I'm glad their customer service team reached out to try to make sure such issues don't happen to others in the future. Just be aware that if you have issues, it may take a week or two to get a resolution. Out of all the Donner products I own, this had been the first issue I've had, and it really wasn't Donner's fault. There's always room for improvement, especially in customer service. I've added a star back for their willingness to work things out.

I played the drums years ago and just fell away from them. This year I bought myself a Christmas Present. I love these drums. They were easy to set up, came packaged well and They sound good in headphones. I know many are critical but I find them really well made and enjoy practicing with them. I get lost in time when i am playing them They get five stars from me.

I kind of rolled the dice on this set.I bought it just to learn. It is sturdy and well designed. All of the many assorted kit sounds are great sounding and there are many helps built into the module to to help with practice: songs in a range of styles, built- in programmable metronome, coaching games , you can even record your sessions. I don’t often review leave a review on my purchases but I think this product really deserves your consideration. I hope Donner continues to innovate and offer great musical products with more than reasonable prices!
