The Best!
Jim Dunlop Capo - Simply the best there is on the market! I use these capos exclusively ever since I bought and regularly used my first one. I have tried other brands via friends, but always come back to my own preference, which is these. Great value for money, simple to use, and so very reliable.

Great Capo
Have used this style of capo in the past and didn't hesitate to order this one which works well and holds all the strings down perfectly.

Unfortunately I realised that you can find some very bad quality out there (smelly plastic
Simple, not expensive but does it's job. I also bought an alternative cheaper version at a store, thinking what could be wrong with such a simple device. Unfortunately I realised that you can find some very bad quality out there (smelly plastic, cheap metal and textile band). This is not the case for this Dunlop.

The Capo is really good, but for some reason it does not hold ...
The Capo is really good, but for some reason it does not hold very well up to 5th bar of C40 guitars. So I had to make it very very tight, which caused some damage on strings. But I am quite satisfied with the product

Easy to use and doesn't obstruct the fretboard, holds strings tight to the fretboard
I've previously always used clip on capos, but sometimes they can get in the way a bit. So I decided to buy something smaller. This is perfect. It's very compact and never gets in the way, it's really easy to attach and it holds the strings down extremely well.I was worried about it being awkward to move, as a clip on is so easy to loosen and slide up the neck if needed. This was also very easy to move, you can loosen it and slide it to a new position without having to remove it completely. It seems to hold the strings down better than any clip on I've ever used and I'm never going back.My only negative is that you can't just clip to the headstock when not in use, but I have a small pocket in my guitar strap so I pop it in there when I'm not using it.

Well designed Capo
Needed a capo that was small and this does the job. Great design.

My second Jim Dunlop capo .. you can't go wrong with them
I've had one of these for years and particularly like the fact that there's no bulk in the area of your fretting hand. The real test is to play an open B7 chord shape with the capo on the seventh fret .. trigger style capos just get in the way!I recently bought a 12-string guitar and, rather than keep removing the capo from my 6-string when I want to play the 12, I bought another Jim Dunlop capo. What I found was that, because the fret board on the 12 is wider, the optimum adjustment point on the capo is slightly different. The second notch is rather too tight, but the first notch is definitely too loose! I found that, by folding a piece of tissue and sandwiching it between the capo strap and the back of the fret board as a kind of 'spacer', I was able to apply just the right tension on all 12 strings without any buzzing or concerns that it might be too tight. At under a fiver you really can't go wrong. What I would say is that, although there are other capos of this design available, the Jim Dunlop version seems to be the strongest .. I've yet to hear of anyone who managed to break the lugs while applying it.
