Product Description A very attractive Heirloom Grandiflora variety introduced by Eckford in 1898. The extremely dark purplish-maroon blooms are almost black and very fragrant. Soaking seeds overnight can aid germination, although not essential.Seed is best started undercover from 4-6 weeks before last frost in pots, thinning to individual plants when large enough (transplant the thinnings). Cover seeds with 1 inch of soil. Space 6-12 inches apart.Provide netting or trellis for support when plant is 3-6 inches tall. Please note for children - these seeds are poisonous if ingested. Hi, I was a bit disappointed as was expecting proper seed packets, no picture of what each one is just a little bag. I should have read the listing properly, as this is how they are sent out so only given three stars, they could add a picture of the product with the invoice or on the seed packet, it would be helpful for the amateur gardener.Just a suggestion.

Disappointed. None germinated
We were excited to add these to our mix of sweet peas as the colour looked lovely. However we planted them in individual pots to ensure they were protected etc until established and none of them germinated. Never had a problem with premier seeds direct before, so maybe these arent genuine?

Another winner from Premier Seeds
I have had these seeds for two years and finally got around to planting them earlier this year although the packet does give a sow by date of December 2017 - oops. Most of the seeds germinated and have grown very well. The flowers are lovely and fragrant.
