STAEDTLER FIMO 8704 Clear Lacquer 1 Piece – Compound for Ceramic and Modeling (Lacquer, Transparent, Glossy, 35 ml, 1 Piece)

I have been searching for so long for a good gloss for my polymer clay creations and I'VE FOUND IT! Artists on IG are so hush about their glosses so it was a struggle finding one I liked. This one is so glossy! It's beautiful! Also works well on my casts that aren't clay. I've used this gloss for a couple of weeks now and so far so good - still looks super shiny!

Excellent gloss varnish for Fimo clay!I've been doing sculptures for some time now and was missing good varnish.This one is drying fast, no sticky and doesn't smell strong so you can use it in a small room.The most important is that it doesn't get thick with a time. I opened mine 3 months ago and still is great for use.I am very pleased with this purchase.

When I first made some pieces from fimo I tried some of the modelling varnish I had at home, and it really didn't work! It didn't dry properly, remained sticky and took about a day before it was covered in cat hairs and icky. Anyway, I invested in some of this, and it's great. A single coat gives a strong, shiny finish, I have had no problems at all with it not setting, and even when used over the gold powder, a single coat is all it takes. Really nice finish, I give it 24 hours to set properly, and have found it the best finish for modelling clay (I use sculpey and sculpey III as well as fimo, it works perfectly on all of them).

Fantastic gloss on oven polymer clay after it's baked . Easy to use no clumping and it gives good coverage . Preserves the item also from damage from weather .

Now I have it it does the job well.

This product dries really quickly

This was bought in conjunction with a clay set for my daughter, it gives a very nice finish to the finished product, which in my daughters case was jewellery beads. 5 stars awarded because I cannot find any fault. I would recommend this to anyone using the Fimo clay.

I use it to varnish some beads I made - after hardening they go very mat and dull. I put only one coat (they recommend two) and the colors just came back to life! It also say that it needs an hour to be touch dry, but I hanged them next to window and was surprise (pleasantly) to find they were dry in 20 min. So I am very happy !
