Marcy Eclipse BE1000 Barbell Weight Bench - Black/Red

Perfect for my needs. All parts listed, pictured and labelled. Allen keys included. Very clear step by step instructions to assemble. Took me about an hour. Stable, sturdy and comfortable.

Quality is very very good and it inspires confidence to use and extremely easy to assemble and although I'm a joiner will be easy for most.Will work chest /legs/triceps and biceps and i can actually use the curl handle with an overhand grip for a warm up for bent over rows,Just throw in some squats and deadlift and rows witch can be completed with the barbell you should already have and you got a full body workout (obviously you will outgrow this arrangement but I honestly recommend for beginners/intermediate trainer's like me) happy lifting folks

Very good instructions for assembly and well made.Alas though, the bench is too high for me- unable to get my feet flat on the ground. Need to bench press with my feet and knees up flexed. Never have had this problem with beaches I've used in gyms.Also upright bars are too wide apart for bench pressing, at least they are for me. Not a successful purchase for my needs.A case of try before you buy.

Bench initially ok. However...Olympic barbell, when loaded with 60kg, scratches the metal stands when you pick it up and rest it down. I've had to cover the stand holders with bodge tape to stop further damage. There should be a solid rubber covering to prevent this. Also, bench is too high for me to plant feet flat on floor (I'm 174cm tall). It's ok overall, but you get what you pay for and with hindsightt, I'd have spent more money to get a better bench.

Ok yep it is sturdy but when assembled the first pad (Where you would sit your ass!) is way high off the ground - I am 6ft 1" and when lying flat or on decline my feet don't touch the ground which puts loads of strain on your lower back - plus on incline the clearance between your head on your barbell is so low you cannot get off without smacking your head on the bar! On any of the 3 settings it is difficult to get on and especially to get off I have had to slide off to the side twatting my head several times in the process I really would not recommend ths piece of kit at all!

While the packaging wasn't that great, the bench and rack have worked out just fine. All the parts were present and I had it together in 45 mins. Maximum Weight Load (User & Weights): 270kg / 595 lbs / 42.5 Stone , Leg Developer Weight Load: 45kg / 99lbs. It is very strong. The two piece design means that if you're short on space you can move the bench to the side. I've never had any trouble with fit or stability and I lift a fair amount of weight. A nice way to start a home gym if you're short on space!

Easy to assemble, fits together well - early days but feels good value for money. Ergonomics good, and reasonable range of adjustable settings.

I was looking for a weight bench for my spare room at home and after reading a lot of reviews decided to go for this one instead of the ones in Argos.So glad I did, the build quality is superb and very easy to build.I've been using it for a week now and it's so sturdy it inspires confidence.If you're looking for a home gym bench I highly recommend giving this one a go.
