It winds up
Not a lot of light from it, but could be a lifesaver in a situation where one has no light at all. Bought one for myself to keep in glove compartment of car. Also got one for a child and after two years it's still not broken which shows how sturdy it is. Excellent little torch

Excellent Very useful
Fed up with torches that when you go to use them the batteries have leaked. A couple of turns and this little torch shines brightly

Great little torch!
Loved this torch straight away! Not too big and not too small, a nice bright colour, so it doesn't get lost easily. The light it gives is very bright, and after leaving it in the sun for about an hour it went on shining for several hours! You can either wind it by hand or let the sun charge it up. Either way, it works fine.

Great item to have.
This is very handy and takes seconds to charge with the winding handle. Would recommend for emergencies. The solar is a bonus.

get ready to wind it up a LOT
Very dim. I don't think the solar panel alone really charges it, as even after a long day in the brightest of British sunshine (itself a recent invention) the torch was shockingly dim. To get a useable ammount of light I had to crank the handle. I'd prefer one of the squeeze types if I'm going to have to do it manually so often. It's better than nothing and nice to know I have a light even when there's no battery life left in my better torches. But still, don't pay too much for it. I did accidentally leave it clipped to my pack in the rain and it didn't break from water damage so I give it props for that. (your mileage may vary, could be luck)

Fab little torch
Wind it up and it holds a charge for days. Other ones I’ve had only last seconds before they cut out. Wonderful little torch. Would recommend
