Philips AVENT SCF612/10 VIA Breast Milk Storage Cups

I bought this in search of a inexpensive solution to store my milk. And this the positive side I can say about them. You get plenty of good sized storage space for little money. But here come the disadvantages- The measurement scales are very hard/ impossible to read. When the cup is filled even in light it is impossible to make out the scales, which is a bit useless for a baby feeding cup- With the adapter the cup is leaky and bulky. We gave up using them to feed because they often leak and are to wide to hold easily. Plus the plastic is soft so you can't hold them too tight either.- The plastic is soft making it hard to open if the lid is tight. If you make the mistake to close the lid while hot milk/food inside you will be unable to unscrew it again because the plastic is soft so you can't grip it tightly.- It doesn't fit into the AVENT sterilizer nicely. They are to wide to fit into the Avent Microwave sterilizer.- After a while washing them in hot water de plastic will be deformed so the lids don't fit tightly any more- And finally if you are storing milk in them a lot of it will stick to the lid. So you are better of mixing the milk in a different containerI wish Philips would produce simple lids for their normal bottles. But this is why I am giving two stars, I still use them as storage for breast milk because they are inexpensive and you can use them ... as storage only.

Whoever designed these pots are a genius. When I first bought these pots, I thought they were just storage pots, but no, they are so much more. They come with a little adapter that you can screw onto the top of the pot, which not only attaches to the Avent Electric breast pump, but also to teats. This meant that I could express milk directly into the pots, and then bottle feed straight from the same container without the hassle of having to transfer the milk at all. This not only saved time, but also the risk of transferring bacteria to the breast milk.Along with my newborn I have a toddler ,and use the pots to store little snacks for him. His favourite being juicy sticky orange segments which have never leaked whilst being in these containers as they have a screw on lid.I will also be using these pots when my little one is being weaned to store home made mush in.Brilliant product. Can't rate it enough.I'd like to add, that with my first baby, I used breast milk storage bags as they were cheaper than pots. They were a complete waste of money and really fiddly. If you want to store your milk, I'd advise getting these pots. They are ace!

for storing milk, baby food, and for non baby related items too! the stacking feature and ability to feed straight from the cup is great.be warned you need to purchase a whole bottle not just a teat as they do not come with the ring to fix the teat onto the blue attachment - i didnt realise this and ended up having to buy bottles (that i never use) to get the ring part and the lid.2 things that could be improved- the lids are a bit tricky to screw on, you have to be careful or they could leak- the markings showing how much is in there are very difficult to read - it would be better if they were coloured.

Great set as it can be used as storage for Breast milk, converted to bottle feeding and food storer.I currently use it to express milk and feed directly using the teat and adaptor. No need to change bottle.I also use it to store milk powder for when my milk is not enough and baby is hungry when we are out an about.I will use when weaning to feed my baby pureed meals.Would highly recommend it as it minimises the things to buy for her. Easy to store and doesn't take up space, which makes it easy to put in small fridge shelves unlike the large bottles. I mostly love the fact you can both directly express, store and then feed baby from the same cup.I highly recommend this product.

I thought I would be pumping and storing milk all the time until I realized that it's a very time consuming activity. That said I use these when I can (hardly ever fill all 10), they are great for freezing the writing in pencil the date etc is definitely a plus. I have the avent bottles and nipples as well so not having to switch this milk to a bottle is one less dish to wash.

These are pretty good, but if you get anything in the screw bit, milk powder for example, it is almost impossible to get the lid off again. I would still buy again though, as they don't leak and are a good size to keep food for baby in, e.g. half a tomato, a peeled kiwi etc etc, whether for the fridge at home or for going out

I purchased these storage cups along with AVENT Breastpump.I find these storage cups are handy. Very good for storing pumped out breast milk.Easy to note down the date on the cups.Lid is very secure so can also carry liquids.Easy to use and clean.Disadvantages : Difficult to read the measures. These cups can't be used in a microwave.

A really useful product and so handy that it attaches straight to the breast pump. I have frozen many portions of milk and dinners for my baby. The screw on lids are so much better than the ones that clip on and off. My only criticism is that one pot once cracked in the freezer, hopefully just a one off!
