Worked like a charm in our laptop.
I had blindly ordered the replacement battery before pulling it out. So make sure before you order you pull out the existing battery first, and verify the Wh rating before ordering, cause I ordered the wrong one first. This one worked great for the 15" laptop we had.

Fits Perfect In Alienware M17R1 Laptop
If you don't have a HDD installed you can opt for the longer life battery. It's longer but if you never had or have a HDD that you don't use anymore (SSD's are better) you can remove the hdd bracket to make the needed space for the bigger battery. The pic shows theres only 4 screws and one lift off connector for the HDD assembly then its out of your way.

Capacity issues
I've had this battery for about two weeks now. Upon first using it, it needed to be charged, which isn't a big deal. However, the first time I did attempt to charge it, it was stuck at 87%. I ran a support assist scan on my entire laptop, and the battery and laptop were just fine. A day later, the battery charged to 100% with no issues. Just the other day however, the battery would not charge past 53% Another scan found nothing wrong with it, so I am a bit confused as to what's going on. As far as performance goes, it is just fine, and when it is charged it lasts a while, but if this inconsistent charging capacity continues to happen, I will have to return it.

Battery Replacement
Bought this to replace my swollen battery for my Alienware m17 R1 (2019), which wouldn't hold charge after unplugging. This new battery sold for $34.33 (with coupon) is the cheapest buy I found on Amazon. Easy to install, works like a charm. Battery capacity is probably the same as the original Dell battery, which also lasts for around 2 hours doing light work on full charge.

It fits and works, but ..
It fits and works, but .. the battery came with it's life span reduce by about 15% per HWiNFO. Battery is rated for 60Wh, HWiNFO reads it at 50Wh at full charge.Update: Got a replacement, and same thing. 50WH, not the advertised 60Wh/63Wh.
