Traditional Tiddlywinks Tiddly Winks Family Game

I wanted to immerse my children in the world of classic games rather than just sit in front of power rangers on repeat. So I purchased some games from my childhood. I loved tiddly winks as a boy! This set is seriously cool. Very retro/vintage.The box is lovely and so well designed. Inside there is a platform with the target zones and in the middle that familiar red pot to aim for.The winner is the first one to score 100 points and the corners have useful bonus zones too.The instructions are good and the winks are good quality. Love the colours, love the design, love the price.And I played this with my two boys for an hour this afternoon... fun times and highly recommended. Works well on a carpet, though it says a table with a cloth on it. Best to experiment.

Great fun, there was only three of us playing so the fact one of the counters was in half when opened the box did not matter. Disappointing though that not in condition that would expect. Definitely works better with a cloth surface underneath.

I wasn’t sure what to expect quality wise but the grandchildren, and their parents, enjoyed playing with this game. The tiddlywinks are small and flimsy and I wish I’d bought the option of more substantial ones but it’s not detracted from the fun. The very young ones took great delight in just pinging them around and then bought into the idea of aiming to get the tiddlywinks into the pot. Definitely better played on a carpet than a table.

The game looks good but the contents are really not sturdy enough to get a decent game out of it, the chips are too small and insubstantial. Call me old fashioned but I like to be able to hold on to the twiddly wink and think that it won’t break if you press down hard on it, also the pieces are so small that my grandparents were unable to play with the children as the chips were too small for them to grip.
