Bit of a necessity if you have multiple bikes to clean, lube and maintain during the filthy winter. How I managed without this I’ll never know but this relatively cheap model from Pedros works a treat, looked at a few from the very cheap to the deluxe Park Tool version, this is somewhat “in between “ lol.If you’re bike is maintained on a proper workstand and you also have one of these chain bath thingies that clip onto the filthy grotty chain filled with degreaser/cleaner you will be a very happy bike bunny.

It's somewhat pricey for its purpose, but it effectively does its job. It secures the chain during bike cleaning, avoiding contact with the frame, and maintains tension, preventing the chain from rubbing the interior of my Golf when transporting the bike with the wheels off, by tightening any slack.

This chain keeper is perfect for either when transporting the bike in a bike box which I've done a couple time now or when wanting to clean the chain with the rear wheel off. It helps a lot.

This makes cleaning the bike so much easier, you can take off the rear wheel and fit the chain keeper, it's still possible to use a chain bath to clean the chain!

This makes cleaning my bike so much easier. The quick release is really convenient but the actual chain guide comes apart too easily. I exspected it to be a bit more solid for the price. Might consider gluing it together if it becomes a problem.

Nice tool to have for cleaning and maintaining the bike/chain. Once you've bought one you'll wonder how you ever did without!
