Protection is fine... main thing is that it won't disturb the click function
Other brand also gives protection... but this one not just will give you protection but it will not disturb the primary function of the mouse i.e. click function. I had returned previously bought one because that was disturbing the click itself. Left click used to get stuck in that. This one is recommended. I think there is slight change in the back design of this one that brings the difference in performance.
