Worth the money
This is a really well made precision tool, substantial & quite heavy for its size. Tightening mechanism uses a very fine thread giving good mechanical advantage. Adjusting Knob spins freely but IMPORTANTLY without massive amounts of side play on the adjusting arm. If these tools have too much play on the arm and/or blade (no longer 90 degrees) they start trying to cut a spiral on small diameter tubes instead of cutting straight through. Haven’t used it a lot but would still say it’s the best tube cutter Ive owned so far. Swedish Design Taiwanese Quality!

Great for curtain poles
Exactly what I needed. I bought it to cut chrome plated curtain poles. I had to make 6 cuts and every cut was accurate and neat. Great tool.

Worked great
Work just fine, cutting through 1mm thick wall chrome plated steel tube. Very happy with this tool.

Decent solid cutter
I've read some reviews of spiral cuts and disintegrating blades, however mine cut true and after 5 steel tubes there is no indication of wear on the blade. It feels very solid and the cutter adjustment is smooth and fine. One of the rollers has rough movement caused by a poor surface on the pin it rotates on (this model doesn't have bearings). The advertised spare cutter wheel which should have been in the handle was also missing. If I needed this as a regular tool I'd have bought a better model.

Great for the price
I got this with some trepidation due to some negative reviews, but has turned out to be a great purchase. It dealt with a stubborn steel conduit pipe running up into the attic very quickly, with its combination of high leverage within a reasonably compact package.I liked its solid build, compact design, range and ease of adjustment and its price. Can't think of anything that I didn't like and suspect that the negative reviews might be from inexperienced users (although I am willing to be put right on that). I think with enough brute force it will always be possible to break the blade, but I suggest that careful use will avoid this. The trick is "slowly, slowly, catchy monkey". With all such devices, the trick is not to over tighten the cutter. Tighten it just enough to make a score line; then tighten and repeat. If I can cut through steel pipe without breaking the blade, then I think that proves that a little patience and care is all you need to avoid such problems.Would definitely recommend ahead of those very small pipe cutters you get in retail DIY stores.
