Millie Marotta's Wild Savannah: a colouring book adventure: 3

I ended up buying this book while looking for a different colouring in book by the same artist. I really like this one as it has loads of pictures with a wildlife theme. There are wildebeest, giraffes, boars, birds, zebras, foxes, baobab trees, crocodiles and many more.The pages are NOT perforated so you would need to carefully tear them out and also the pages are not suitable for Alcohol Inks (as they will bleed through to the picture on the reverse side. Apart from that, it is a great book with any interesting designs.Not all the pages are similar, some designs go over two pages and some are not the entire page. The printing is great and in black but not thick lines like some books.This is a great adult colouring in book and I would highly recommend it and perfect to use with colouring in pencils or water based pens.The dimensions are 25 x 1.5 x 25.4 cm and there are 96 pages in total.I have added photographs for your convenience.

Amazing, as are all of Millie Marotta's colouring books. Like the previous books, Millie Marotta has drawn some gorgeous images to colour in, and the hardest part is coming to terms with having to crease the spine of this beautiful book in order to colour right into the spine on the double page spread pictures.If you are reading these reviews, hopefully you are taking your potential purchase of a Millie Marotta colouring book seriously, in which case I would suggest considering the following comment, which I added to someone else's very helpful review:It may also be useful to point out that there are some cheap rip-off copies of Millie Marotta's books out there; I've come across the Animal Kingdom version and the paper quality is terrible. The real thing has 96 pages, and is around 25cm square, not 24 pages and around 18cm square (sometimes described as 'travel edition' when UK based sellers get hold of copies to re-sell).

I used to spend time with my wife in the evenings. Sometimes we'd even talk while we tried to find something even half decent on the tv to watch. Now when there isn't anything on she retreats to her desk and gets out the colouring books. She has a collection of pens which seem to be multiplying exponentially "but they're such pretty colours" and I have to nod and smile when she shows me her latest finished piece. On the plus side she is now easy to buy presents for - pens or books like this one - Millie Marotta books are always very well received as they have superbly imagined drawings to colour and nice thick pages so the colours don't leak through plus the pages are bigger than A4 with lots more scope for colouring joy! If you like colouring then this is definitely a cut above the other books you will see out there.

The stunning cover tells you all you need to know about the content of Millie's latest book. Inside Wild Savannah the animals jump off the page just begging to be coloured in!The paper quality is excellent, I like the blank pages at the back of the book for you to draw then colour your very own Wild Savannah creations.A lovely feature is the fold out cover at both the front and back of the book revealing a panoramic vista teeming with wildlife already for you to colour.I find this book exciting and absorbing, just the thing to distract you for half an hour or half a day if that's how long you have. A superb tool to help you relax when your mind is troubled.Millie Marotta just doesn't disappoint, as a great fan of hers I have all her work, postcard box sets, journals and my coveted deluxe addition of Animal Kingdom, Millie's iconic and classic first book. The creativity never falters and the quality endures across the board.So indulge yourself with Wild Savannah, alive with beautiful images of some of our most treasured animals, you will be delighted, I promise.

I love all Millie's Colouring Books. My daughter and I have them all. We take them on holiday along with our roll up pencil wraps full of pens/pencils and then we date and sign the colouring in, so we know where and when we did it. A great momento of a relaxing holiday in picture form. My daughter took this one to Cape Verde because it was the best book for an African Adventure.

I just love these colouring books. I have 4 of Millie Marotta's books so far and they are all very unique and stunningly beautiful. I get lost in time when colouring in and have found myself still awake and colouring at 3 in the morning! Please give one of Millie's books a try. I am sure you will not regret it and get lost in time too.... 😊

Another excellent book by Millie Marotta, my favourite so far. It is just as good, if not better than her previous two books. It is a square shape, but about as wide as A4. The paper quality is high, and there is no bleed through to the other side, which is good as the pages are print on both sides. There are a mixture of single page and double page spreads. The illustrations look stunning whatever medium they are coloured in - gel pens, pencil crayons, fine liners etc. I have included a couple of my completed pictures as examples. All in all, an excellent book and well worth the money.

Amazon has a series of colouring books in their Deals section over a period of a few days. I bought almost all of them as they were such good value and looked so interesting. I'm glad to say this one did not disappoint. They can be soon expensive in the stores depending on where you look. I might even give this to my Mum as part of here Christmas present as she loves to colour to relax too.
