TGM's influences include The Police, Jimi Hendrix, The Roots, Ben Harper, Ronald Bruner, Linkin Park, Bach, Herbie Hancock, Lauryn Hill and Michael Franti & Spearhead, to name a few. Often, people try to put The Global Movement into a box, but TGM has proven they both prefer and comfortably rest on top of the box of social and artistic norms that serve as a spring board into a world starving for creativity and authenticity; TGM is the answer to the call. TGM's sound is authentically stitched together by a single, unifying thread that sews up any wounded heart who hears them. TGM has opened up for such acts as The Last Poets, MC Lyte, and Israel Houghton. TGM is comprised of four men; a vocalist, a guitar, a drum set, and a cello. Alone, each of these organisms and objects are special, unique even.
