An irresponsible review
I just tried this vacuum for the first time today. After a thorough use I reckon it's time to share my thoughts on it.First up, it's not a Dyson. If I had a spare £500 I would buy a Dyson. Heck, I'd buy a Roomba! When you spend circa £150 on a vacuum you can be guaranteed of a few things, including:It will probably last you about 3/4 years tops.Parts will randomly break off it, and you'll learn to deal with it.You'll sometimes look at it and wonder "Why did Vax hire a 4 year old to design this important clasp, then build it out of the lowest grade plastic imaginable?!"But that's to be expected. It's a mid range Vacuum, and you get what a reasonable person would expect. It has a head for everything. I will never use these heads. Except maybe the old faithful little 'nook and crannie' one we all use for the skirting boards/cobwebs.Other people writing reviews are correct. This thing has epic suction. When the cylinder is empty, it's genuinely difficult to push along the carpet. I'm a bloke in his 30's and it was noticeable. At this point you'll find yourself thinking "Why so much suction???" Then you'll find yourself thinking "That's exactly why I bought the thing! Why am I complaining!" But seriously, it gets easier to push around as the tank fills up, and from my experience it still does a good job of picking up dust/dirt.The metal extension tube. Designed by a leftie. That is all.Actually no that's not all. The main hose slides into the tube and has no clasp holding it in place. It constantly spins around in your hand and feels like it's going to come off. It's really annoying. The main head which attaches to the tube is also a pain because it's really hard to remove if you want to switch heads to - for example, do the stairs. But more about the additional heads below...The vacuum comes with an array of heads. All of which will inevitably get lost within moments. The 'turbo' attachment however, is awesome. Like, totally awesome. My 7 year old self had a cardiac when he saw it. The head has lots of rigid spinning brushes inside which then lead to a second spinning chamber full off tiny scoops designed to increase suction. You turn the vacuum on and the head sounds like a swarm of bees trapped in a tumble drier. As you use it on the stairs, sofa etc... it revs up and down with the same angry intensity as that 19 year old Forza wannabe cruising the estate in his Honda Civic. It's insane, and by my reckoning does very little in the way of dirt removal, and instead opts to pummel your sofa into submission. I could actually hear the fibers of my cushions cry out as they were ripped to shreds (I couldn't, but I just know it will cause abrasive damage over time) I recommend you only use this head on your ex-wife's car because I have no doubt it could strip paint. In addition, once this head is attached, you have little to no chance of removing it again. I suggest holding the head section between your feet, and pulling the metal tube towards you like your life depends on it. Be careful not to pull the tube directly towards you though, as you might hurt yourself when the tube 'pops' off the head and you stab yourself in the chest. The 'dust receptacle/chamber ' is tiny. It'll do one vacuum, then you have to refill it. At a push, it might manage 2 full vacuums of an average house. I say this like it's a bad thing, but the positive aspect is that the entire cyclone section breaks down fully, meaning you can get to the centre chamber to clear out all the fluff. Many vacuum's these days don't do this, so if the centre filter gets clogged (which it will) you're stuck with diminished power after just the first clean. Well done Vax.I can't rate the HEPA filter yet, but from my experience previous HEPA filters have done a really good job of picking up pollen and so forth. Just don't run it under water because it'll compromise the structure of the filter.I named my vacuum Gary. Because my alcoholic Uncle is named Gary. Just like Uncle Gary, the Vacuum falls over, all the time, for seemingly no reason. Just topples. It also does this on the stairs, in the kitchen, in the bedroom. Either this vacuum drinks too much, or it was badly designed. This raises the additional negative that it would not last long in Robot Wars. Matilda would flip this try-hard in a second. Also much like Uncle Gary (He's dead now) it leaks. But instead of urine it leaks dust out of the joints in the main vacuum head. By the time I had vacuumed the bottom floor of my three story house (it's a townhouse, don't judge me) it had grown an impressive... afro on top of the vacuum head. This was very surprising. The cable retraction mechanism is powerful, and does the job very well. The cable moves so fast you'd probably lose your legs if you were in it's way. As always, I can bet you the mechanism will start to lose it's mojo after a few months, and you'll find yourself pleading with the button to just do it's one, simple job.One point which I think is very important: The metal extension tube is approx 35mm in diameter. The majority of other vacuums (In my experience of course; I'm not a vacuum expert/consultant/public speaker) are not 35mm. (I think they're about 24mm?) Therefore, please make sure any other heads/attachments you may purchase will fit this tube. I bought a tiled floor attachment for my old Vax. Fit fine. Does not fit this one. This made me more angry than is generally acceptable when your Mother in Law is visiting and the baby is just starting to learn new words. In conclusion, this is a really good vacuum for it's price. Don't kid yourself, you're not Kim Kardashian and you can't afford a Dyson. Even if you could you couldn't pull it off. Everyone would know it's a lease. Or Wedding gift from your loaded Auntie. What you can do, however, is trot down to Primani and buy something very similar for a fraction of the price. Because this hoover is good. You go Girlfriend!

VAX GTI - Super VC 900W
This is a super efficient Vacuum cleaner. Powerful suction but can be reduced by opening air inlet by the hose. Size is good for easy storage if you live in an apartment like me. The electric power cable is retractable into the housing of the unit. The dirt holder is transparent so you can see when this needs to be emptied.I own the 6131 Multivax Cleaner - (Carpet cleaner) and decided to give the VAX CCQSAV1T1 a trial and I have not looked back. Quite delighted with this vacuum cleaner. Amazon price was £10.00 less than Ebay which included delivery, so many thanks Amazon!

Would I buy again possibly if I can find a blockage and clear it as suction very good to start
Started with better than good suction now after 4 goes suction is very poor have clean it throughly 6 times there aren't any blockages in any of the areas you can clean. It point to a partial blockage and only place left is underneath where the screws are. I must point out on the 3rd and 4th go I did challenge it with large deposits of dust from sanding walls but emptied and cleaned filter regularly during both times. I brought it for picking up dust and cleaning car which is what they are for.

Good product
Great product, very powerful suction I love it but if you struggle with thumbs and fingers the tube is very difficult to take off even feels like it will break. The plastic is so stiff I struggle every time.

Easy to clean and collects pet hairs brilliantly
Very compact and powerful machine. Easy to clean and collects pet hairs brilliantly. On the downside, the suction is too powerful on carpets so you need to open the hose slider and the fully-extended hose is too short unless you are only 4' tall. I intend to get a longer hose as soon as I can to save my back. Would recommend.

I am glad I bought this vacuum cleaner as refurbed item and ...
I am glad I bought this vacuum cleaner as refurbed item and not full price, I don't think it's worth full RRP. It's ok to use, but the vacuum head is not great, you really have to push it through the floor, I have hardwood floor and it's ok for that, but compared to the vax upright cylinder I had before it requires more effort. The attachment for doing the stairs is great actually. And another good thing is that it's easy to hoover under the bed of sofa which I could not do with the upright cylinder before.

So glad I bought this as I have wanted one for ...
Wow! Vacuumed a small section of carpet and couldn't believe what it pulled out (dust-wise)!So glad I bought this as I have wanted one for ages and now found that every second that I've waited has been worth it.Brilliant suction, good length cord, short hose but long pipe (glad I don't have to bend and I'm 5'10), lots of accessories to try out around my home. Its A rated for energy use and the accessories that come with it are labeled in case you ever need to reorder then.Good tidy little size but just as good as the full size ones (I'm comparing it to my friend's which is the one I used that made me want one)!Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
