BEST VEGAN COOKBOOK WINNER IN THE PETA VEGAN FOOD AWARDS 2017 Packed with comforting, easy-to-make and totally delicious recipes, Feed Me Vegan shows you can be vegan and still have your cake (and mac and cheese, and lasagne, and pancakes) and eat it. Passionate vegan Lucy Watson has you covered with tempting meals from breakfast to supper - as well as all the sweet treats and snacks you need in between! Enough to turn the head of even the most dedicated carnivore, Feed Me Vegan is full of tasty, satisfying vegan fare which will have everyone asking for seconds. Whether you're already a full-time vegan, considering making the switch or just trying to cut down on meats, fish and dairy, this book is sure to add new favourite recipes to your repertoire. Recipes Include: · Fry-Up · French Toast with Spiced Plums · Cauliflower Wings · Mushroom Mac and Cheese · Ultimate Cheeseburger · Pad Thai · Oreo Thickshake · Chocolate Fudge Cake · Hot Cinnamon Jam Doughnuts · Miso Aubergine and Mushroom Gyoza Review: Really good for first timers and those looking to transition into a more plant based diet. - I'm slowly trying to incorporate more plant based meals into my diet and make simple swaps from animal to plant based products in my cooking - this book made that really easy. The initial pages describing a basic list of vegan cooking essentials and extras in the 'food cupboard' pages were particularly useful and the short list enabled me to be able to attempt any of the recipes rather than ordinary cook books where most of the recipes are redundant due to odd ingredients. Really good book for first timers. Review: ... should not be compared to the so-called "clean eaters" like Deliciously Ella - Lucy's approach to veganism is based on ethical rather than health reasons and therefore she should not be compared to the so-called "clean eaters" like Deliciously Ella. If you are looking to eat more healthily, then I this book is probably not going to be for you. Not all of the recipes are necessarily healthy but they are all tasty. Day to day I generally eat Deliciously Ella style; however, when I occasionally want to indulge with some "dirty vegan" food Lucy has some fantastic recipes to choose from. I have adapted some of the recipes slightly to make them a bit cleaner e.g. substituting processed sugar for coconut sugar and white flour for spelt flour. I would definitely recommend this to someone who is new to veganism or struggling to make the transition.

The type of cookbook I was looking for
The recipes in this cookbook range from healthy to junk food, which is exactly what I was looking for. I have bookmarked many recipes - so far I've only made the miso-glazed aubergine and it was very tasty so I have high hopes for the other recipes. The majority of the recipes include photographs, which I find useful.

Sure to suit anyone interested in vegan eating
I'm new to veganism and this book had lots of recipes which i enjoy making. Easily obtainable ingredients and some great tastes. Breakfasts, snacks, main meals, desserts and cakes etc. Sure to suit new and experienced vegans. Each recipes tells you how many it feeds, which is good, so that you can adjust quanities accordingly but i wish they also told you approximately how long each would take to make. Just nit picking here. All in all a book i would recommend.

Lots of easy to make recipes
When the book arrived I made a recipe the first day with what we had in, it was really tasty and took 20 minutes to cook. The recipes don't have over complicated methods or ingredients and there's a good variety of recipes on offer. I don't really eat sweet food so maybe too much coverage of cakes and sweets for us, but there's lots of main meals, breakfasts and a great selection of sides and sauces to make, and each section is fairly equally weighted. The recipes are easy enough to adapt for the ingredients you have. Already looking forward to making several other recipes I've seen on the first pass.

Good not great...
Nice book, nice recipes. Was a bit disappointed that so many recipes called for ready made / store bought vegan butter, cheese etc. I can figure out for myself that using vegan cheddar, butter and nut milk will make the Mac and cheese vegan. Unfortunately i live in a country where these things aren’t readily available so would prefer the recipes to make my own alternatives. However, recipes seem simple, book nicely laid out and lots of ideas to try.

Better than first impression
At first, with the numerous photos of the author in various settings enjoying her creations with friends and family, blah blah, I thought this was a bit of a vanity project, probably with little substance. However the recipes have proven to be very tasty and easy to make. I've used the book loads, made lots of food from it, with some even becoming firm favourites - the tofu scramble is a breakfast regular now. I've yet to make anything from the book that has been a disappointment. A good turn around considering I thought the book was a dud to begin with.

Culinary winner :-)
Really pleased with this book :-) If you cook in any way seriously, you will know how it is... You leaf through a book and think, 'Yep, yep, yes, I'd make that. And I'd make that...'. Or not. If you buy a cookery book online, you are not afforded that luxury.... So there a degree of risk involved. This book is a really solid effort and scores very well. So, if you are looking at kicking meat/dairy into touch and are intimidated at the thought; this lady seems to have made the idea somewhat more palatable, (and less intimidating) with some smashing ideas of her own. Well done Lucy!

Love how the recipes cater to providing delicious alternatives to much loved comfort foods and home favourites! You don't have to go on a scavenger hunt for the ingredients either! And the book itself it beautifully presented.
