A Brilliant Book
This is a well thought out and structured book. I am not a scientist, and I struggle to understand the creation and life history of stars. The first chapter is disappointing for me in this respect and not an easy read. I might understand it one day. The sections on the constellations are excellent and make the book what it is. There are essential maps inside the front and rear covers. The choice of font and background colours make it more difficult to read. With all these criticisms, you would think I don't like like the book. But I do, well worth 5 stars.

Star gazing
Great book for star gazing. I bought it to send to Australia and it was still useful even tho the constellations are a little different there.

Just not what I hoped for
My apologies to the author, I do love to listen Maggie on TV and looked forward to reading her take on stargazing for beginners. It is an interesting book, just not what I had hoped for.

Quite advanced.
I bought the book as a present, however had to return, many of the star constellations were not in this country therefore if you were stargazing in the UK there were many that you just wouldn't ever see.Its quite advanced and a book very much for serious stargazers, not for people who are just getting interested.
