An excellent pair of controllers that work flawlessly with RetroPie.
They are slightly bigger than the original NES pads and about as light but the build quality is excellent. All the buttons including the D-pad have a very positive movement and all have a slight curve to their edges that means there's less of an obstacle when moving fingers between them quickly (unlike the NES pads where the buttons had edges that went straight up)These have been in use for a few weeks prior to this review and so far they are still performing as well as the day they were purchased.

Great quality for the price and purpose.
Surprisingly responsive and lovely feeling buttons. The plastic's a little slippery and the shape doesn't match today's standards of ergonomics, but these are retro-styled controllers, and for that they're great.

Great controllers & a great price :)

Don't Buy!!
Absolute useless! Nothing about them physically would suggest that there's anything wrong with them. Compared to the controllers we had as kids these have been treated like antique glass vacuum tubes, but alas, like so many other reviewers one lasted for about 1 hour of play the other possibly 2 hours of play.

Superior controllers compared to others
I received these to test and can say that these feel like a quality controller with a strong build and responsive button pressing. Really good will recommend to friends

A pair of quite surprising pads.
These are quite surprising. I didn't expect much from them to be honest, and when they turned up they certainly feel a little light as other reviewers have pointed out. However the surprise comes from when you plug them in and start gaming. They perform extremely well, and have a very responsive D-pad, which works absolutely brilliantly for all your old favourites on the Raspberry Pi with Retropie. The D-pad to me is the one thing that controllers never get right and is always an afterthought. Here the shape and size fits my hand perfectly, and I'm Dragon Punching so much now it almost feels like cheating!I usually use a one-size-fits-all PS3 controller but using these has really improved my gaming on the old 2D classics, so much so I have switched to them permanently on the Pi. My only concern with them is the long term use - are they going to last? But I've been hammering them daily for some time and they haven't caved so far. I'll be sure and update my review if they do. But for now, for the price these are well worth it, especially if like me you baulk at the price of 8bitdo pads.EDIT 17/01/2018: Happy to report that in the three months since buying them they haven't let me down at all and are still going strong, despite playing them pretty much every day. :-)

Good nostalgic pads, all buttons respond well, work on raspberry pi emulator
Good retro pads for the price, gives that great nostalgic feel to my retropi emulator. They are quite light but buttons respond ok and no issues so far.
