500gb Weston Digital. Perfect for the job. Great seller & have used again to buy
The package arrived the next day not as well packed as I had hoped for something so fragile and costing £146.99. All interior packing was well presented, professional look but with almost no waste packaging. (Always a plus for the environment 👍🏼).The Weston Digital 500gb internal SSD itself was well presented, sleek, smart well built with all the necessary information provided. I have had the SSD running over clocked nonstop since I purchased it and it has never skipped a beat and has sup-past my expectations. Great item and happy with the price. Thanks Mark

Works In My ACER Aspire XC-780
I have a Aspire XC-780 Model Name: AXC-780 Part Number: DT.B5AEK.016 fitted with a WD Green 3Tb drive which has no room or SATA connection for another drive. However, it does have a M2.2280 slot but virtually no information about it.It was listed in the BIOS as SATA 0 so I took the chance and yes it worked first time.Note: Make sure you have backed up all your data and made recovery media, I used the Windows 10 64bit USB drive using Microsoft's Media Creation Tool giving me a clean install of Windows with no unwanted junk. Some disassembly is required to gain access to the slot...1. Power disconnected2. Remove the two x screws on back to remove side cover.3. Unplug cable from back of slot load DVD drive.4. Remove the one screw holding in the DVD drive.5. Pull out the DVD from the front.6. Unclip the PC plastic front (3 x clips) which swivels round then unplug the cable feeding it.7. You can now access and unscrew the two screws holding the hard drive tray in place, no need to unplug. Now you have access to the M2 slot, card goes in blue label side up and you will need a M2x3mm screw with a flat head.Holding only the sides of the M2, push it into the slot and use your screw (why they don't provide one, heaven only knows).Reassembly is the reverse steps making sure you have the cover. If you wish on power up you can check its present by pressing del after power up.Or, plug your recovery USB in, power up pressing fn + F12 to access the boot menu and pick media device.Usual install steps from that point, I deleted all the partitions of my old 3TB drive and of course installed Windows on the new 512GB which works so much faster. You can install the WD SSD Dashboard program to see how its performing but the auto trim (tidy up) housekeeping function does not seem to schedule (hopefully they will fix it or just do it once a week as recommended).

Brilliant speed, doesn't disappoint.
Brilliant speed, no noise and safer than spinning hard drives. I've bought 2 external WD hard drives and they work perfectly, never failed.Windows 10 / UEFI boot is tricky though, it's hyper-sensitive to these changes and kicked up quite a fuss. The UEFI bios looks for a 'secure boot' file on the original hard drive to be sure it's not a hack. When it doesn't find that on this new hard drive, it takes time to get around it to use your own computer! This is an installation issue on modern computers not the fault of the product. The postage and package - as usual, a complete rip-off by Amazon. I hate paying for Amazon P&P, too pricey.

Great Price and works perfectly
I placed the ssd in my laptop to move the operating system over to, and I saw great improvements to the loading times and speed when moving around windows. This ssd is best used with another hard drive or storage because of the size. this wont be enough for storing games and maybe will just too little for storing lots of work files. The item arrive on time and in enough packaging that I felt it was safe from damage. Conclusion:because of the size I wouldn't recommend the item on its own, use with another storage. I would only put my operating system on the ssd and very small amounts of data too. if you use the full 120GB you might start seing issues with windows as it needs to create temporary files to operate correctly.

GOTTA GO FAST AND CHEEEEEP
It's fast. It's good. It's a damn SSD that's well priced, what more do you want? Also the WD Dashboard software is super useful. Get that too.** Summary **I turn on my PC. It boots to windows in 6 seconds. I start rebooting my PC because of how incredible the difference is between this and a HDD.

Awesome drive for basic functions!
Great product! Really boosted my computer boot time. I installed the OS and some essential programmes I use like Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop. You can start the programs in seconds! It usually takes me ages to start an adobe programme. Highly recommended, but only if you plan on using it for boot + essential apps, otherwise you'll need more than 120 GB.

Good size and price
Good size and price. Not as super fast as the NVME drives, but you get a lot more GB for your £.
