Humbrol AG9159 Medium Tool Set

Great for new starters like my self, to be honest looking back you could find a lot of these pieces separately for cheaper. But as a starter set it’s worthwhile. Everything is sturdy and works.

Package arrived a day early, everything in good nick and works well. Only thing holding me back from giving it 5 stars for value was that it was missing the flat file.😕

Bought this for my son as a Christmas present. It has made constructing Airfix kits so much easier. He has used every tool in the kit to finish off components that had bits of sprue still attached and the clamps are superb - allowing you to leave bits to bond while you go away and do something else. I would highly recommend the Humbrol workstation to go with it - some retailers include the cutting mat which completes the set.

clear signs of ageing with discolouration of the plastic but after testing everything its all in working order and the staple is still very very very sharp after the long while in the packaging

Have only just received this set and it looks as if it should be ok for the purpose. BUT only 2 of the 3 G clamps were delivered and while this isn't a deal breaker I reckon it reduces the set to 3 stars. Knife with it's spare blades, snips and files all seem to be good enough for making Airfix model kits. If only I could have found all my tools from an earlier life as a plastic modeller!

Item arrived as it should, packaged good but on opening the kit i found the tweezer's to be broken. On closer inspection they look very cheaply made so not really surprised they were broke 😞. The rest of the kit is OK but you can tell its a cheap kit by the quality, apart from the tweezer's being broken, I think it's a case of you get what you pay for. Would not recomend unless your after some cheap quality tools. Will have to see how long the rest of it lasts.

I was disappointed as there was a mini clamp missing from the package (the smallest one). An empty space where the mini clamp should have been! Otherwise, I was pleased with the contents that were there.

Great kit, shame i could not say the same for the projects i was working on but found the cutters and file invaluable. Only gripe, could they not have provided a case for it?
