Model arrived properly and with. No damage to box or parts

Very nice model, Easy to read instruction booklet and it has some parts already painted! It even has a some information on the real ship. Definitely worth the price.

Brilliant model. As a Titanic mega fan this is my sixth model I've done. Even though its the easiest one I've done by far I couldn't help but get my paint out and go over parts in the correct colours, such as the funnels. The funnels are more of a orange colour in the box but any Titanic enthusiast will know that the funnels were actually more of a beige colour so I had to fix that, but all in all if you want an easy model to do then definately go for this one!!

Firstly I must confess I didn't buy from Amazon, I bought this kit from my local model shop in Johannesburg for the equivalent price of fourty two pounds, quite a bargain. The quality of the plastic extrusion is very good, Academy have gone to great lengths to show very fine detail but this means at a scale of 1:400 some of the pieces are very small, a steady hand, good eyesight and fine tweezers are required. I did have to do a bit of "plastic surgery" on one of the deck pieces to get a good fit and you have to study the assembly of the deck sections carefully. I would not recommend this kit for a first time modeler or a very young person.I used Tamia Extra thin cement and found it to excellent. If Academy could produce this quality on a larger scale it would be a great kit.
