Makes great coffee
Understated, but stylish, simple to use. It makes coffee! Nothing fancy, no timers or beepers, it’s quick, quiet and efficient - makes a jug of coffee in 2-3 minutes, and keeps it hot for hours. Easy to fill and clean; includes removable plastic coffee funnel for emptying/rinsing, but we use inexpensive filter coffee papers (three quid for 100 from Amazon) which are much quicker and cleaner. We use it everyday, are very pleased with it and would definitely buy it again. Only negative is the small jug, less than a litre, but so easy to use, just make another pot!

Looks good, coffee warm
This machine filters/brews coffee quickly and has worked very efficiently since I bought it a few months ago. It looks good in the kitchen with the other kMix appliances. It's a value range of equipment so not expecting all singing and dancing but they do the job well. However, my issue with the coffee maker is the temperature it retains after brewing. The jug on the hot plate you would expect to keep the coffee at a decent temperature, not boiling obviously. But by the time you go back for that second cup you brewed the coffee always requires a spell in the microwave. It's only just warm.Apart from that I am happy with it. It is quick and easy to set up. Takes seconds to clean. Takes up minimal space on the worktop. Looks good.

It looks good and I will admit that it makes a good ...
Well this is my first review and I was hoping it would be a positive one, unfortunately it won't be. The Kenwood kMix coffee maker is a winner in the style stakes. It looks good and I will admit that it makes a good coffee. However, where it is let down is reliability and longevity. My first product failed at the 12 month point whereby it leaked water continuously. This was replaced by Amazon at no extra cost to myself. My replacement product has only lasted 10 months. The lid does not stay secure, it pops up and the unit emits steam for around 10 minutes. During this time the unit still burbles even though the coffee has been made. The moisture produced is then on the outside of the machine and possibly inside where the electrical components are housed. I have lost confidence in the product and find myself turning away from Kenwood as a company. This cost me £70 and has not been fit for purpose. I recall buying an unbranded coffee machine for £12 from a local supermarket which lasted 2 years!!!! You do the maths.

Buy this coffee maker
Great, simple filter machine, cool styling, great colour (yellow), very pleased with it. I wanted a low-maintenance, easy to use machine so not interested in barista-style ones with pumps, cleaning, grinding and descaling etc.And cafetieres don't keep the drink hot for long enough, prone to getting stuck or shattering, also difficult to clean. Just want a jug of decent real coffee quickly and with no fuss. This machine really delivers, couldn't be simpler and the coffee tastes great. Only thing you have to watch is that the filter unit has to be in the correct position for the coffee to flow into the jug - if it's not, the machine will back up and you'll get coffee all over your worktop. There's a big notch that it fits into so it's not complicated at all. It's not really suitable if you want coffee for lots of people at a dinner party - and if you like it really strong you can only get enough coffee in the filter to make half a pot at the right strength - but if you just want 2 or 3 mugs of good coffee it's ideal. Overall this has been brilliant, very pleased I bought it.

Worth it coffee machine.
For the price this is currently offered at its a nice simple little coffee machine that makes a nice, but rather warm coffee. Well that's if you drink it the moments its made..But if you leave the coffee stewing in the jug on the hot plate for sometime then it becomes somewhat hotter if drank black. The only confusion I had was leaving the thing on after the water tank was empty, keeping the hot plate working so the coffee still in the jug kept hot'ish or turning it on to reheat the coffee with the hot plate, but not refill the water tank. The instructions read: do not place the jug empty on the hotplate and never turn on with an empty water tank..So does that mean never leave running with an empty water tank? do I turn the thing off the moment the water tank is empty,? will the element burn out?No it wont, I left it on for a few hours the coffee stayed hot and the machine didn't burst into flames, so it seems leaving it on with an empty water tank is fine for a long period, well for now! This should be explained in the instruction.. But it would have been nice if the water tank heater and the hot plate were operated by 2 separate switches just for peace if mind.Overall: Nice modern, compact filter coffee machine..

Perfect
Perfect little machine, and looks amazing in the kitchen. Its very simple with only one button on the front which I personally think is a good idea, no clocks to set or loads of different options or a pointless LCD display, just a simple rocker switch! It is fast and very quiet and makes a perfect little coffee, should have bought it ages ago!!!

An excellent machine
Bought about 4 weeks ago and used daily.Very pleased with this machine. It works well, produces nice coffee (if you like strong coffee you will need to use more than the suggested amount) and looks very smart in the kitchen.Three points to take on board if considering buying:1 It is rather small and produces only 3 full-sized cups This is, of course, clearly stated in the product description2 The cup warmer on the top does not work - it has practically no effect on the temperature of the cups even if left "warming" fora long time. (But you don't really need this as the coffee as delivered is quite hot enough, especially if the jug is left to standon the heater for 5 minutes)3 The resusable filter works OK but is a bit difficult to clean. Remove it and use disposable paper filters insteadBut the above are only minor things. All in all it's very good. I would have no hesitation in recommending it.
