Our bay tree became badly affected by sooty mould, which is apparently the result of aphid infestation. In desperation I decided to try this insecticide, based on the good reviews. I found it easier to use than expected - it's a fine spray but powerful enough to coat all the leaves thoroughly. And, although I probably should have done it at the start of the growing season rather than the end, it seems to have been pretty effective at killing off the bugs. The tree looks a little bit happier already but I will probably give it another dousing in the spring/early summer just to make sure. My only gripe is that, as another reviewer mentioned, the bottle collapsed in on itself as it became emptier and wouldn't spray. So some of the product was wasted. Apart from that, all good.

I had a problem with green fly in my garden so I bought this to help, it does the job without killing the plants although I suggest spraying the plants at night so you don’t harm the bee’s landing on the flowers and being exposed to it as I think it can kill them. The bottle is large so will last you a while, I did have to reapply this product over a space of 6 weeks or so but it does temporarily help control the situation, I don’t like using chemicals but i was getting some huge infestation of green fly particularly on my lupins. This did help solve the issue for a while without killing my plants or damaging them, do reapply spray after rain as it washes it off.

I bought an apple tree and when I planted it I noticed the soil had ants. Didn’t realise ants protected aphids... Anyway within a week or two it was absolutely infested curled leaves and everything I thought I hadn’t watered it enough but on closer inspection the flaming aphids had moved in. Bought this stuff and in an instant the aphids had died. After a week most of the leaves have recovered some of them have crisped up and I’ve nudged those off. I was worried I’d be left with no leaves let alone fruit!! I’ve now watered the roots with a seaweed solution meant for fruit trees which should help the tree to naturally repel the aphids as it gets stronger. Until then I have this trusty spray in my shed should they choose to visit the tree of no return...

I bought it to kill the aphids in my garden. It did not work at all despite the fact that i spray every second day. Not sure why some reviews say it worked. I then tried self made spray (boiling dry chilis mixed with dish soaps) and it worked perfectly! most of the aphids died within 20 mins! I left this review so people who is looking for an aphid killer knows this product is not something they are looking for!

It's wonderful! I used Provado Ultimate Bug Killer to get rid of mealybugs that occupy my collection of cacti every now and then. These little bugs are very difficult to kill and they multiply very quickly. For years I've been looking for the ultimate spray to kill mealybugs and looks like I've found it. Works extremely quick and efficient. After the first use most mealybugs turned black. Those survived appeared in a couple of weeks and were finished off when I used Provado for the second time. Mealybugs can hide in many tiny corners but the spray gets them all. Can't describe how happy I am! I've already ordered a second bottle just in case but even the first bottle was enough to keep my plants clean and happy!

Ultimate bug killer is definitely killing some sorts of bugs, but I had some white stuff on my violets and it didn't help. But it helped with other home plants bugs...I am not the most experienced gardener, so cant really give an advise on this product, bought it in hope of helping my violets...But it's ok I used it on roses outside as well and it helped...

Seems to do the trick used on tulips as noticed flowers were not opening and on inspection they were covered with a bug,a couple of sprays seperately and the bugs had gone and flowers had opened,also used on newly planted rose bush as bugs again and they have also gone after a couple of separate spray sessions.Great price and a really good size.
